Quite obviously not, otherwise we’d have won 5-4.

Edit: sorry, get what you mean now. Yes it did. Thought you meant originally after it hit the post.

Hit the top upright, came down to the ground and bounced over the bar. Bevan French has all the details.

It bounced over, but Ive read it has to go over the bar without bouncing to be counted.

Why doesn’t Makinson take our goal line drop outs? That drop goal would have gone near enough 60m without bouncing if it hadn’t hit the post. That was aimed as well, just leathering it down the middle from under the sticks he might get even more distance. Coote’s drop outs always seem to be collected 40m out.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

Is it so Coote can naturally fall into position behind the defensive line?

I thought it was because of his knee problem.

It was a cracking kick, to hit the post with just enough spin to bring it back in play took some doing from that distance.

Bet he's a cracking snooker player.

He does strike me as the sort of bloke who would be good at golf, cricket etc. not professionally, just good enough to •••• his mates off

Given there’s maybe one or two a game I can’t see it being that much of a strain. Certainly doesn’t put as much pressure on the knee as planting your leg for a place kick.
