because every time Cas play, he is their best player and he usually picks up a point or 2. At Saints & Wigan, the points are usually split amongst 4 or 5 players so no one individual can get enough to win it.

No one would choose McShane over Roby, or even Powell, based on form this season - but neither of those 2 are in the Top 5 because they have shared the points with their team mates.

It usually goes back to the MOS panel of experts to choose the winner from the shortlist.

I hadn't paid any attention to this so I looked at who the panel were, expecting it to be a load of nobodies who reside in certain West Yorkshire postcodes, but it's quite a formidable group actually. Sculthorpe, Hanley, Davies, Robinson, Reilly, Betts, Schofield, Joynt, Morley, Peacock etc. And... cough cough... Clarke, Baz and Tez!

So it's like Wigan and guests. Happy to see Joynt in there I thought he had completely drifted away from the game.

Grudging respect for Farrell on the basis that he is the least dirtiest orc at the goons

He is a very good player. I was looking for stats on metres made by Saints players and spotted that Farrell has made more ground than any other forward in the league.

He tried the rough stuff with Justin Poore once.

    Didn't end well for him
