While there is still something to win I want us to win it and I will still watch and support saints but this season has become an absolute circus. Should have just scrapped the whole season this week and gone again next year but I suppose money talks and Sky hold us by the bollocks in that regard.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

Why would they need any fixtures? Surely they would be free to play if a top 6 team drops out in two weeks time?

    Anyone give me a summary?

This end to the season is as random as the end bit of November Rain

It's a strange one this. In some ways I think we have dodged a bullet as although perhaps unlikely, we could conceivably have lost all our last 3 games. Where that would have left us would depend on a lot of things. Catalans in France would have been difficult, Warrington seem to have the blueprint to beat us lately and then Hull have come into a bit of form.

The positives are that we now have some time to rest some battered and bruised bodies, more so after the Wigan game. It is a chance to freshen up.

Conversely, three weeks off can be detrimental too. Walmsley will have had 4 weeks off and for a big bloke like he is, he needs that match fitness. I'm hoping we have a couple of opposed games against the rest of the squad to at least simulate a game situation.

If as expected, Wigan beat Huddersfield then we will play Warrington. At some point you feel we will beat them, just as Wigan did to us on Friday after we had beaten them the last 5 times, but to win the comp we will need to beat Warrington and more than likely Wigan. I really hope we have learnt some lessons.

Everyone is assuming we will play Warrington if Wigan win this week, but Hull are playing well. Wire will go into that game having played one game in 4-5 weeks. Not ideal prep for them either and they weren't that great against Huddersfield last week.

I agree with Reacher it hasn't turned out that bad for us. We don't have to go to France and then face a tricky game against Hull and you don't really want Wire just before the play offs. No doubt though missing out on top spot and the £100,000 is a huge blow, Eamonn won't be pleased. Me missing out on £216 is a blow to me but the £100,000 would be huge for the winners under the circumstances.

Eamonn still might be pleased, you never know we’ve seen games in the past where there’s been upsets Wigan put a lot into the game against us and have been beaten with the likes of Wakefield this season! It’s a game where Wigan know they need a result and Huddersfield just might turn up and cause an upset. Ohh please !!!

I'm reading it that he has lost his expected winnings if £216 he's not questioning his stake as far as I can see. I'll also lose some expected winnings from Sky but my stake is still showing as a valid bet. No doubt they'll settle it soon.

My first thought was that it is the proportion of his ST that he has lost.

If I was in charge at Saints I’d be doing a dodgy (but legal) deal with Hudds, offering them 3 or 4 of our young fringe players for a season long loan (we pick up the wages) next year if they beat Wigan.

Win/win situation if a few of our youngsters get some game time and experience in the absence of a reserve game next season.....
