    15. Lindsay Collins (Sydney Roosters)
    16. Jai Arrow (Gold Coast Titans)

Queensland looking really under strength with 8 of the 17 making Origin debuts. Injury and availability one of the downfalls to playing SOO at the end of the season I suppose. Could be a walkover series for New South Wales.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

I’m looking forward to it as always and I can’t see past a 3-0 win for NSW really. Bennett will have Queensland fired up no doubt but there’s far too much class in the Blues side in my opinion.

Not overly fussed about it to be honest. I'll record it and watch it at some point no doubt.

Glad you reminded me of this. Will have to set some time to one side tomorrow and watch the first half at least.

Lucky you, I might have managed to sit down and watch a bit by this time tomorrow.

Enjoyed it, good game, hardly noticed the referee which is how it should be.

Felt like I was watching Saints in that 2nd half for NSW. 5 drives then a hoof into the air and hope for the best. Didn’t play any rugby until the end of the half. Took a while for Queensland to settle into the game but once the did they dominated territory, forced the mistakes from the Blues and executed their chances. I didn’t give Queensland much hope going into this one but they deserved the win.

Not the best SOO game you'll ever see. I thought the 1st half in particular was not a good game. 2nd half improved and QLD deserved the win in the end. NSW will be kicking themselves really, they should've won it.

Awful 2nd half from NSW. They just seemed so lethargic until the last 5 mins when they came to life again. I expect them to win next week though and set up a decider.

6 tries scored & 3 off them by Melbourne players. Nice one The Storm.

Thought Dane Gagai showed again why he's the best centre in the game

Yes, it was an exciting finish and it has set up the series in a way that a NSW win wouldn't, but it was far from a classic by SOO standards. To be fair, few in recent times have lived up to the halcyon days. It almost became unwatchable a few years ago with game plans that made Kristian Woolf look like a risk taker. It's better now, but the NRL stuff has definitely been a better watch this season than recent Origins.

All time State of Origin teams as voted for by the fans. A few interesting selections in there but what a series it would be!!

The quality of half backs is amazing when you think Lockyer doesn't make the QLD team (he was full back for a bit as well I suppose) and neither Brett Kenny or Peter Sterling make the NSW side. But I don't disagree with that to be honest.

Unbelievable list of superstars, I'd go with Queensland in a hypothetical match.

The aussies love to big up their youngsters but i think the standards in Oz drop year on year. Webcke, Fittler, Johns, Tallis, Girdler, Lyon and plenty more from the 90’s would run rings round the current crop.

Its always been an ambition of mine to watch an origin game and finally got there on Wednesday.
The atmosphere was quite weird early on and it seemed like the majority had no idea what was going on. But at the end it was incredible and even in a half empty Stadium you couldn't hear the final hooter

I didn't give Queensland much hope and that was some second half performance so a pleasing result (being an adopted Queenslander)

One thing. Josh Addo-Carr, its the first time I've seen him live and he is lightning fast. Definitely up there with the fastest ive seen. It doesn't look like on TV but for his try at the end he was flying

No Gene Miles, Renouf, Langer. Or Noel Cleal, Price or Wayne Pearce!

Yes still on my list- have been to an NRL Grand Final and loved watching Tonga beat the Aussies ( the crowd in the Tonga GB game beat that one though for sheer exuberance and passion).
