Are we skint or something or paying to much to average players?
Field has played 17 games in 4 years. He isn't a "big name star."

That tweet would make more sense if Woolf had picked Paasi more than once, nearly six years ago.

Can't say that I've seen much of him in the NRL but his 2018/2019 stats look decent and seems a consistent performer. A good age to bring a prop over. 100m+ average and decent post-contact metres in the NRL isn't to be sniffed at. Should hopefully help put us on the front foot and take some load off Walmsley.

Interesting to see Woolf praising his ball handling skills, hopefully that means there are plans to actually use them next season!

Is this the tiny prop that also plays in the halves?

Very impressed with Paasi on the short video clips, big unit, powerful leg drive, virtually unstoppable close to the line

Great news on us getting Iggy. Big strong and able and will fit in nicely.

Perfect addition to our front row. He certainly knows how to run a ball in

No, we didn't go for him in the end. Check the video Saints have posted for him, he's a unit that weighs 18 stone.

I think he's the perfect fit for us from what I've seen, exactly the type of prop we need to compliment big Al.

Yep i agree. We need to sign a lump to help out Walmsley. Currently he is our only strong running forward who draws in defenders. When he’s off the pitch we lack that impact. Lees runs like a prop but doesn’t have the timber on him at the minute. We don’t need a world beater just a big lad who can play a couple of 15 minute spells. A raw Samoan/Tongan type would do nicely.

John Asiata is the one you’re thinking of. The hybrid prop/stand off we were linked with.

I had my doubts about Woolfs long term plans to make an impression on the British game. But looking at these young overseas players he’s bringing over suggests he’s got a long term plan.

Looks a handful crashing onto a short ball close to the line. He should fit in nicely with Woolfs tactics.

I think with two big powerhouses Lees will do very well coming on when others are tiring.

He's a 2021 version of Tongan George Mann, powerful breaks the line makes metres with a good offload.

I've given Woolf a hard time but these signings seem promising. I just hope realises there's more to the game than smashing it down the middle.
