Plenty of flops going and lying on happening, not only in that game. The first couple of games after the restart the pace was electric. Now, apart from the scrums we are back where we were pre lockdown. I don't know whether the refs are just not doing their job, or whether clubs have asked for it to be slowed down??
This and the other observations of the snide stuff mean nothing really.
If you want to be a top side then you have the ability to respond and adapt.
That's what top side do. Can't expect everyone to play within the rules and
not use unsettling tactics.
Perhaps Mike Rush can write an open letter to the RFL.
"They won't play nice and let us play our limited game the way we want".
Saints are too soft , too gullible and locked into the robotic style to the point
of being tranquillised by it. No smarts no ability to adapt and overcome.
What annoys me is when they move forward towards the marker to get tangled up on purpose and drop the ball, it's not a 50:50 call from the ref most of the time it goes the way of the attacking side. Teams lately are using it a lot against Bentley because he likes the rustle.
It's not a question of ''hardness'' or ''softness'', it's cheating and not cheating. The officials have a duty of care to ensure that foul play is punished. Wigan seem immune to this for some reason. Some seem to think that if certain Saints players had waded in and lamped some Pies that would've sorted things. It wouldn't, we'd have ended up getting men sent of and banned while they carried on their cheating antics in to their following fixtures with a full squad. What we need is consistent and impartial officiating.
