Default Does sanitiser make your balls slippy?

Things have been a little heavy on here recently, so I thought I would try to lighten it up a bit!

    It's actually a semi-serious question.
I know the weather was bad, but I'm assuming that it wasn't raining WD40 at our place for the semis...So was something else going on? There seemed to be more than the 'usual' handling errors associated with wet weather.
I've noticed that if you wash your hands after a visit to the shops, where you're encouraged to use sanitiser at the door, they can often feel a bit slippy as if there's a film of soap or something left on the skin. Are the players doing something similar?
Are the balls being sanitised in some way?

If this is happening, can players do anything to prevent it?
I was thinking along the lines of using climbing chalk to improve grip.
Over to you for the 'white powder' jokes!

Hardaker could’ve used that as an excuse to get his ban even shorter!

When I was playing at school and amateur In the late 80’s and in the 90’s I used to spray my mams hairspray on my hands to get them sticky and tacky before a game and promote grip....

    Perhaps they don't sanitise?

They regularly spray something on their hands to make their grip better. Like after every try.

Sometimes it’s in a jar rather than a spray. The hairspray trick I mentioned was shown to me by Ray Ashton when he used to coach us at school, I assume that someone made a more professional version that the players use now....
