Pure trolling, and he’s got away with it for a decade.

They did, rather. After wanky dominated the first quarter (Ratchford can be such a great player to watch), the aggressive piescum defence snuffed out their attack; Austin was useless and Widdop not much better.

Never want the piescum to win, but bloody hell Wire are masters of the 'dark arts' and deserved to lose. Their offside is a key component of their game plan and they get away with it every game. And they continue to cheat with strategically-timed 'injuries'. At the 66th min, the piescum had them on the rack. Wire had been defending a fair bit, wi*an had been stretching them, culminating in the druggy-drink-driving-assaulting-homophobe making a break. Wire were out on their feet when wi*an put in a grubber. Hill tries to close the wi*an kicker down. The ball it knocked dead by Wire and they should have the shotclock ticking down. But what's this? Oh, it's Chris Hill lying prostrate with a 'head knock'. On comes the physio, who goes through the motions, rotating his head and checking him over. A minute later, he's up and joining his mates and the shotclock starts, after Wire have had their breather.

They're chests. And Hill is the biggest of them. Their entire defence depends on getting into the face of the opposition to stop attacking momentum and they achieve this with a combination of perpetual offside (it's a case of stealing a march by rushing forward a second or two before the PT and rotating the rushing duties; when they're all feeling the pace or if they're being stretched, there'll be a phantom head injury that allows them to get some air on their lungs and/or rob the opposition of momentum.

They're a despicable team with a dirty grub of a coach.

When the ref is tough enough to stop their cheating, they really struggle.

I hope they miss the top 4.

It hurts me to say this, boy does it hurt, but.... either of these teams would have beaten Saints yesterday.

I said exactly the same, however I think it'd be down to our approach rather than not being good enough to beat them. Saints best is better than anyone's in SL but I doubt we'll show it again this season, hope I'm wrong.

I think Wakefield would have beaten either of those 2 yesterday.

Based on the night’s performances yes, but we wouldn’t have played so poorly against either of them. We are streets ahead of Wigan and more consistent than Wire, it’s just on the night with them at the moment

Sorry I should have said in the league, but I certainly wasn’t saying everything is rosy.

I’ve seen it loads when we can’t get up for a game, opposition are expecting a hiding so throw everything at it and we go under (Salford, April 2016 springs to mind......) but we are still grinding the results out.....

I’d rather be entertained and plotless but this season will be like no other. Mid season rule changes, games scrapped/teams swapped at the last minute/youngsters being blooded/win percentages/no fans etc and this season only winning matters by hook or by crook.

I still don’t think Woolf is the ideal man for the job, he’s too cautious/boring/wrestle/KC/one up (delete as appropriate!!) but he’s unlikely to be going anywhere soon....

There doesn't seem to a ref with either the brains or balls to hammer them.

We are that superior to all the other teams, when we are allowed to play our own way ?
Why then do we lose a lot to top 4 teams when it matters ?
If to beat us you just play off side and grub like, why do we not play that way against them ?

The way we are we playing currently i could not see us winning two ,one off ,knock out games on the bounce . Against either of the other 3 teams in contention , they would all fancy their chances against us . I really would love us to face wire in a final and brush them aside which this team if so capable however , we are playing such a retractive game plan it would be the one who gets the bounce of the ball or the odd ref decision go their way would win .

I love banter and having goons as in-laws makes for ‘ sometimes’ eventful evening meals . But the truth is we have to learn to take as good as we get because for the forthcoming results are far from predictable .

We have had two, count them, TWO, sponsors so rather a moot point, that. Furthermore, the sponsors allow us to do two things: 1, keep this free to access and 2, keep this free of incessant adverts (which would depend upon a high visitor count).

    No need.

The actual name of this forum is and always has been: RedVee Rugby Discussion. The description of the forum is and always has been: Just rugby topics and discussion.

Ergo it's never been Saints specific. We just expect it to be predominantly Saints but if Wolfie and RG started a thread discussing their match last Friday, assuming it was civil, it would NOT be removed or edited.

With respect, that isn't the issue at all - people would know it's a thread about the piescum or Wanky.

No issues with Wolfie (or indeed any occasional wind-up merchant from an opposition team coming on to give it some billy-big-balls after we've lost - they get a load back from various posters anyway). But RG is far more subtle. He'll randomly step into a discussion about Saints or our players and drop some post about piescum players that is irrelevant to the discussion and totally not wanted by those having the discussion. People then post to criticise/abuse him for doing so, and the original discussion fizzles out. He's done it enough times, with the same response & result, that he knows full well what he's doing. Yes, we should all just put him on ignore or at least never, ever reply to him, but that doesn't happen and someone will inevitably (for whatever reason, and I include myself in this) take the bait and erupt at him. And the sad tosser will likely chuckle to himself "job done".

The Ignore button doesn't work for me anyway. Can still see posts.
