The two most arrogant teams in the comp dumped out, brilliant!
Makes me wonder about Wire. They only seem to be able to get up for a game against Saints...... where the big clubs like us, Leeds, Wigan can really turn it on against each other regularly, Wire don’t seem to be able to sustain a run.....
I understand them putting it all into a cup run, it’s what small teams do.
Only last season has it given them anything, as every other time it’s been a hollow victory (on several occasions a semi win resulting in them losing a final......)
Can't stop the spirits when they need you.
This life is more than just a read through.
The diagonal kick near to the posts that led to Salford's 3rd try(?) looked offside even though the video ref seemed to suggest otherwise with the contentious issue being whether or not the ball had been knocked on.
Price's chin is as absent as a Warrington league title.
Wire fans shouldn’t be happy with Price unless he delivers a grand final win. I can’t imagine Simon Moran will be happy spending as much as he does for the odd challenge cup win either. If Wire don’t win the grand final then does Price have to go? I think so.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.
I’m not sure. There’s lots of examples of excellent coaches thriving with limited budgets and resources struggling to adjust to big clubs. It was Powell a couple of years ago (though admittedly he managed that without moving clubs!)
The bigger risk is them digging up the next Holbrook but I’m not sure they’d be willing to take a chance on a rookie
Sam, Joel and the runt are all from Warrington
Kallum Watkins is from Warrington isn't he?
No, Kallum's from Salford - started off with local club Langworthy
Is Danny Richardson from Warrington, or am I imagining things?
EDIT: remembered he's a Widnesian.
2 pages about a team you don’t consider a rival?
For what it’s worth I think the knee jerk reaction to the loss is ridiculous. I wouldn’t have kept him on after the end of last season, however this season the rugby has largely been better, he has coped with the loss of the whole pack on occasion and blooded some youngsters so let’s wait and see.
The monsoon conditions that your delightful town offered up on Saturday were hardly conducive to decent rugby (so all the more respect to Leeds for their display).
