Fantastic videos , thanks for posting . Some great nostalgia .

The atmosphere at Knowsley road was something else . Even in some of the games from the 80’s you can still get a sense of the racket coming from the scaff .

Keep it up I really enjoy watching em

For some reason the CC Final v Hull 2008 seems not to be available anywhere - upload of that would be great.

Blimey going back there, not sure I’ve got those but I am uploading the 1971 Championship win against Wigan where it looks like we pinched a win in dying minutes of the game. I only had second half footage but it was the better half lol

Thanks, i remember watching that in the living room nearly 50 years ago. I think its been uploaded by someone else too and theyve also been unable to get hold of the Premiership finals i mentioned.

Good lord, that was 14 years ago? I suppose it must have been if Lyon was with us. I remember it being a Saturday game as I was at an outdoor wedding reception in Devon and I kept having to duck into the building to find out the score, knowing we were a man down and holding on. 14 years? I must do more with my life!

There was a game against Wire at KR which I think was either in the '94-'95 season or the centenary season. Very bad tempered: Wire had a Samoan centre who I think got sent off, and Andy Northey managed to get Lee Penny penalised by punching him in the face. I'd love to see that one again.

Also enjoyed the 71 Championship Final. It was my first season watching Saints and I can still remember standing directly behind Kel Coslett for the final conversation.
Not much dispute about the sending off when you see John Mantle holding his knuckles as he walks off!
The finale also is a match for "Wide to West".

    Aye it was.

You're right it was 5pm on a Saturday. I remember it well as I got soaked. Straight home & straight back out

Despite being at that match I couldn’t have told you the score line or a single thing that happened, except for that tackle! Horne was lucky to stand up from it with all his ribs intact.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.
