Jammy try there from Charnley.
You should not be allowed to gain from that

This is an absolute sickener of a game.
All is forgiven Kev.
Better second half. Need more from the Lomax - Fages - Coote trio.
Shit pass from Roby when it matters most. FFS
screaming in the family corner, scaring the kiddies
Im sick of seeing us attack in singles. Ball carrier running looking for support for some second phase and nobody with him.

These Warrington restarts are getting farcial.
Sorry. But bottlers, flat track bullies.

Gutted. Boys had a great second half. Beaten by a header. Ffs

Robbed by blatant Wire Reffing, again!
Oh well, Wembley's a s**thole anyway
They’ve definitely got the Indian sign over us now in big, meaningful games. Thought it was a tremendous effort in the second half without Percival and Welsby. We had to totally reorganise our three quarter line. Warrington deserved it because of their composure - the damage was done in the first half when Percy went off. So many set restarts and crucial penalties against us. Ah well . . There’ll be no supporters at Wembley anyway. What a Jammy last try to win it though.

Great post.
They're certainly in our heads now & I think they edged it. I've no complaints about the result.
They ruthlessly took us apart when Percival went off & that 15 minutes from 25 to 40 killed us. As much as we were all over the place with our defensive organisation, they've got fast, clinical outside backs & they tore us to shreds.
I was pleased with our response but as fishy says, we are a bit of a flat track bully team. We seem to freeze when things go wrong & we compound it with poor decisions.
Good side Warrington. They are as good as us if not better
Good game of cup rugby, we lost defensive shape once Percy went off in that first half that cost us momentum.
Gelling had a very good game, he showed when he can be bothered he is class, their two centres are big, quick and athletic, you have to match them, we needed Percy and Kev to be marking them today.
Nobody had a bad game for us but we need a big prop with Alex, Jammer may be good for the dressing room and helping young lads along but his body is shot, he does not make the yards when it matters and against a team that is on a similar level as us he is a luxury we cannot afford.
I’ve got mixed feeling after that.
We were seriously unlucky in losing half of our threequarter line and conceding a try from a header. It could quite easily have gone the other way.
However, this team needs to get its big-game act together. That first half performance wasn’t good enough for a crunch game. Our discipline was poor without the ball, and our decision making was poor with it. We weren’t finishing sets and we were giving away too many restarts.
What’s most frustrating about this is that I think we had their measure whenever we got a bit of possession. We made steady ground throughout and made plenty of breaks and half breaks, but our lack of big-game nous let us down on the important plays.
I also have mixed feelings about Warrington’s performance. They were excellent in a number of ways - they are a tough and skilful team, they get the basics right in the big games, and I think it’s definitely between us and them this year. But if we’re going to beat them in a big game we’re either going to have to get in the ref’s ear or take a leaf out of their own book. Their ‘impressive line speed’ was basically being 3 metres offside on key plays throughout. I also noticed that Chris Hill’s recurring concussion problem was giving him trouble again when Warrington conceded dropouts today. It’s a good job he wears that hat.
Can’t fault the effort and commitment in the second half. We went to pieces against a good side when Percival went off. When he was on we looked dangerous and classy.,once Welsby went off it was always going to be an uphill struggle. What a shame to lose against such a jammy try though. In tight games like these you need everything to go your way and it didn’t.so many penalties and set restarts against us Warrington have certainly got the Indian sign against us in big, meaningful one-off games though. It’s no good battering then in the league when they win all the big games.
