Sorry Belgian it is badly written, meant to say when Gilmour started at SR we could have 4 forwards on the bench, he could cover the centres if an injury occured, think he played for GB there with Gleeson if my one remaining brain cell is still working.

Absolute class player who for some reason never quite got the praise he deserved.

Probably the best I can remember at being equally at home in the centre or SR.

Think he was brought in as Joynty`s replacement that might not have helped. Spot on with the recognition bit I suppose we were spoilt back then, recruitment was nearly always a success and seamless. That changed just a few short years later.

I know I've said this before but I always thought he was a better centre.

I've been trying to find them but not having any luck. The SL website doesn't cover the cup games and the RFL website has results but no reports.

It really is poor that the RFL or the clubs involved in the games don’t have the stats. I didn’t buy the (RLE) yesterday so i don’t know if the stars were in there or not.

Might sound harsh but I’m starting to really question his creative input in this side.

I thought the refereeing was abysmal, it has to be said. The late tackle call at the end was laughable but all through the game he seemed to be policing the ruck completely different for both sides. They had multiple set restarts before we had 1 and I didn’t see much different in what we were doing compared to them. We were poor and I’m not making excuses but Kendall really was terrible.

I just hope there’s no lasting affect from today in terms of our confidence going forward. We need to come out fighting at Wigan in 10 days time and show them and everyone else we are still the team to beat. I’m clutching at straws here but in terms of our GF hopes the fact Wigan and Warrington will most likely have another 2 cup games to play may work in our favour. But that really is me trying hard to find the silver lining from today.
Cash plus Fages offer for Aidan Sezer anyone!?

Yes and I like Fages. He has just missed a drop goal though.

He’s absolute quality. Seems to get better every time I see him play. No offence to Fages but Sezer would improve us massively in my opinion. Top class.

Interesting idea, and he's no turnstile in defence, either.

But I'm curious to see how Dodd goes in the first team.

He’s 29 he might not go back. His contract is up at the end of 2021, so is Fages’.........
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

Alright alright, I didn’t think about Dodd. Just got giddy watching what I’d call a proper old fashioned 7 bossing a game. I’m also looking forward to seeing how Dodd goes as well.

It would be good to have a half with his kicking game.

I like Wardell - wouldn’t mind him to cover our three quarters

Hopefully we will find out over the next season and a half. He could be the next Sean Long or he might turn out to be another Richardson but we won’t know until he is actually given some game time!

Didn't we consider signing him at one time, always seemed to have a good game against us.

Didn't he play at centre a few seasons back seem to remember he always had a No 4 on his shirt. Not seen a lot of his brother to be a stand out player.
