LMS for all his fist pumping, shouting and running side ways offers little against any of the top 4/5. Plenty of good back rowers have pushed into the front row later on in their career.
Amor and lms are at least a stone heavier and are still a bit lightweight. But they have experience playing at prop,Peyroux doesn't. Dom is to small and also taking a non fed place. Good luck to him moving on.

It seems from a few comments picked up that you're in or out although obviously easy to complain if you perceive you're 'out' I suppose.

Does anybody remember just how terrible Peyroux (the fan's favourite) was under KC. To read what people have said on here, you'd think he was some sort of worldbeater

Under Cunningham i was a big critic of Peyrouxs. Then again, plenty of our players were crap under cunningham. Nobody is saying that he’s a world beater. Personally i think he offers more than Amor.

Yes fair point. I never considered the overseas quota limits.

The overseas part is the only other issue I see. That said, a club like ours doesn’t need more than 3 good quality overseas players unless we can bring a world beater over. We produce good enough to negate this need.

When was the last time we actually used up to the limit? 5 this year, 6 next year and thats before you try the "get around the rules game" most clubs do

There isn't really a get around anymore,it's non federation trained players now so the likes of Coote count towards it.

I think it’ll be 5 non-fed next year if we sign Matautia:

    Coote
    Naiqama
    Paasi
    Thompson
    Matautia

IIRC the current limit is 7 so we’ve got a bit of room should any surprise opportunities turn up.

I've been a fan of Amor. I think he has had some great seasons.
But there was a moment this year where he gave up in defence and was done with him. If he has other roles then fair enough

Peyroux turned out to be a brilliant player for saints. Bentley is good but there were still things Peyroux did better.. I can't deny Bentley is the way forward..

Good luck Dom, thanks for the service

I'm OK with Peyroux leaving especially as it appears Mata'utia is being signed as his replacement. He's been better than expected especially once Holbrook got hold of him and got him to play in the back row in a very specific way. I wish him all the best.

But we've also got to appreciate he takes up a quota spot and we've got an ageing pack. Most of our pack is over the age of 30 bar Lees, Knowles and Bentley. We had to bring that age down and start to transition the squad. We've done that for next season by signing 3 overseas players who are all younger than the players they are replacing. It will take 2-3 years to complete the transition, it can't be done in one go without weakening the squad so decisions have to be made.

Amor is still a regular whereas Peyroux isn't (whether you agree or not) so can see the logic. Also it appears there isn't many props available. I don't agree about Dom playing front row either, I just don't think it would work he's more devastating on the edge using his footwork.

Props off contract at the end of 2021. NRL list is off zero tackle. Super league list is what I could piece together using Wikipedia and google, tried to leave off anyone over the age of 32 now.

    NRL
Bunty Afoa, Leeson Ah Mau, Tom Ale, Daniel Alvaro, Eddie Blacker, Morgan Boyle, Nathan Brown, Thomas Flegler, Jackson Frei, Wiremu Greig, Emre Guler, Samuel Hughes, Josh King, Spencer Leniu, Isaac Liu, Dunamis Lui, Patrick Mago, Thomas Mikaele, Francis Molo, Zane Musgrove, Dylan Napa, Ofahiki Ogden, Russell Packer, Aaron Pene, Darryn Schonig, Korbin Sims, Toafofoa Sipley, Aiden Tolman, Jai Whitbread, Aaron Woods

    Super League
George Griffin, Jesse Sene-Lefao, Nathan Massey, Tyler Hepi, Sam Kasiano, James Gavet, Masi Matongo, Robbie Mulhern, Will Maher, Ava Seumanufagai, Dom Crosby, Sebastine Ikahihifo, Greg Burke, Adam Tangata, Chris Green, Samy Kibula, Joe Philbin, Leilani Latu, Sitaleki Akauola, Joe Bullock
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

Interesting- not many Id be inclined to offer a contract to.

Seven is ridiculous, four maximum IMO, if it was me I'd have it at a max of two or three.

Philbin is perhaps holding out for the NRL, I can’t see Warrington not wanting to offer him a deal.

Weren’t we linked with that Molo?

I’d probably take Mulhern to replace one of Amor or LMS, alongside with a big name, if one becomes available.

    Coote is Scottish
Naiqama has been to Rhyl Sun Center so he's half Welsh.

Agree but he is an unrealistic target in my opinion. He will either stay at Wire or disappear to NRL.
