    Default Site security

Google is telling me that this site is not totally secure. Anyone else been told the same? What is the answer to this problem. Never been told thisbefor in all time I have followed the site.

Spending any time here would tell you that. It's like Mos Eisley, but without the live music.

But yeah, my browser says the same. Problem with the security certificate means your connection is not secure.

It's just because it doesn't have a secure encryption certificate (https). Nothing to worry about.

Seems fine to me although my firewall has just blocked another website. Coincidence most likely.

Cheers for that, my misses asked me what I was smiling at and before I could say anything she said, "what does he mean mixing up vee and tube?". Now I'm sleeping on the couch tonight

    It’s not a problem.

The message you see only relates to the RedVee forums which use the domain http://forums.redvee.net
This domain does not have a secure connection. This means that anything you type into the forums, will be transmitted from your computer to the redvee server in plain text and could be viewed by a hacker. About one second later whatever you typed in is fully visible to the rest of the universe, assuming the rest of the universe reads the forums.

The only time it is potentially an issue is when you log in and type in your username and password but even then it’s only an issue if you use the same username and password for all your other website accounts.

    Genuine question

Why don't you just get a domain or wildcard SSL certificate?
    They aren't that expensive.

We tried. It conflicted with the www. domain because the forums. domain is a sub domain but it is in a different location. Or something. It was a few years ago so my memory is faded and, frankly, it’s never been an issue.
