Ha ha, what is that. ....
Agreed and the club need to nurture & support him and others by giving them opportunities as they arise, not simply shuffling more senior players here and there to make the numbers up. These lads are in the squad on merit and deserve a chance.

Simm - Give him a go at centre.
In the past couple of years of their academy games, Simm and Welsby were the two standout players for Saints in the games I saw when they played against Wigan. I think Simm would have been given a game in the 1st team by now had he been at Wigan, but then I'm only judging hbim on those few times I've seen him.
Looking at the NRL and also Super League since they’ve restarted, it’s looking inevitable that we’re going to get our fair share of injuries between now and the end of the year so to lose a player of Makinson’s ability for 5 weeks for something like that is frustrating.
Hopefully Percival isn’t too bad and we can get him back for the Wigan game.
Trying to be positive, we’ve got some good young players coming through and we’re fortunate in that we’ve got some really well rounded players who can play equally well in different roles. Prime example of that for me on the weekend was Morgan Knowles who I thought was one of, if not the best player on the field despite playing most of the game at right back-row. I thought he was absolutely immense and James Bentley had a really good game in the centre too.
I’d probably put Simm at left centre and go with Costello on the wing.

Who had the biggest biceps and did you ask for a squeeze.
Once again the sister fiddler has turned a thread about a Saints player and possible replacements into a discussion about the Goons and their youth system.
Anyway, back to the subject- I think Welsby is more likely to come in and hopefully he’s learned and matured over the extended break. Simm I’ve no real knowledge of, but given (with respect) the next 2 opponents I think it’s a good time to give him a run.
