Same here, I went to De La Salle, god knows why they tried to teach me all that religious stuff, it didn't even go in one ear to come out the other. I didn't mind playing RU though and we were allowed to play both codes in the last 2 years.

Anyway, thanks for that trip down memory lane, there was a "Brother" who was my head of year for a while, he reminds me of Phil Clarke with his patronising tones and labouring of the smallest point, probably better dressed though as he used to cut about in a black robe/dress thing.

Pretty sure I played rugby against Central Modern in early secondary school days but sure it closed before I finished high school. I went to St Anselm's.
I'm thinking CM closed early 80's?

    I can’t believe the crap I’m hearing.
Clarke showing highlights from last week. Sadly Saints came up with two plays.
Carney to Leon. Are Saints in a slump.

Leon tipped 20 or 30 point win, Clarke went for Wakey by 2. One of them is paid as a guest and one has a full time gig.

Wakefield were never winning tonight, we have been roundly criticised after last week and were going to start professionally and error free. Regardless of style of play we simply aren’t going to get beat by a side as average as Wakefield if we’re focused, especially after we gave them a chance last week and they blew it then as well.

Clarke talks about us as the best team in the country and then tips us to lose a game nobody with their right mind would have tipped us to lose.

Clarke always tips the underdog. Then if he’s wrong he can pass it off as just backing the underdog for a laugh and on the rare occasions he’s right he can act massively smug as if he’s an incredible font of knowledge.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

I like Voss but I wish we still had the Channel Nine coverage with Ray Warren, Gus Gould, Peter Sterling, Andrew Johns, Brad Fittler etc. The Fox team are good and cover it well but most people in Australia aren’t watching it, and the likes of Warren and Gould give a game more gravitas IMO.

I must admit, those guys you mention are/were good, but Vossy is in a class of his own IMO. His quote today regarding Vunivalu's brilliant try was a classic " he's a magician who plays rugby part time" had me LMFHO.

Unlike here, Nine and Fox thrive off each other I think. Whereas Sky have no competition and can present the game as they wish, Nine are seeking to keep their ratings as the free to air home of the game, whilst Fox is trying to muscle in and take viewers away from them. It creates competition and raised standards across the board.

What happened to Baz last night, think he mentioned Josh Wood the once instead every 5 mins like last week. Clarkey put the curse on Wakey a minute before kick off backed Wakey to win by 2 points. As mentioned Leon Pryce made all the right observations similar to Kev Brown last week.

Think hes just trying to be a "shock jock" but hes just a div.

Most of the guests they have , be they current players or retired, all seem to have a better grasp and understanding of the game and of what fans want.

Did I hear him right when he said Nathan Massey is world class?

I'll be honest, I've not paid much attention, it's one of those games I've no real interest in and had a bit of work to do. He just sounded drunk like he was speaking really slowly and slurring.
