Proctor would easily be an upgrade on Peyroux who’s bang average and wouldn’t be missed at all. I’d rather go after Josh Jones who’d probably want less money and is a few years younger though. Knowles leaving would obviously be a huge blow and hopefully he’ll stay but I wouldn’t be that bothered if Lees was to go. Yes he’s got potential but he’s currently far too lightweight and is a fair bit overrated. If he went to the NRL now he’d struggle badly and would be back within a couple of years. If he has any sense he’ll wait 3 or 4 years until he’s good enough.

Yes. It's all a bit depressing isn't it?
I don't really know what to make of it TBH. Maybe players are a bit miffed with the pay-cut thing (did it happen at Saints?), and are looking to go?
Maybe they're just firing warning shots? Maybe it's all just rumours as the title suggests?
I'm slightly worried that the club may be going through another 'belt tightening', like we did after the stadium was built...And let's face it, we probably need to in order to survive after Covid!

There is an "older" member of the squad looking to try something different next season Ralph, not too worried we have it covered anyway.

Cheers Roy. You know better than me. I guess I've just looked at Walnsley as the obvious choice. He's pretty well respected over there

I would put Lee's in the same category as Ryan Sutton & he seems to have found his feet in Oz over the last couple of months.
I just hope we don't lose too many youngsters to the NRL because in comparison their salary cap will allow them to take 'a punt on a pommie'.

How do you get away with it. I only have to mention the H word and the Ghost is straight on to it about how obsessed I am and how everything Hetherington does makes RL better.

On a more serious point it is worrying that the two clubs that are producing top class players (us and Wigan) are just seeing all our work syphoned off to the NRL. We need to raise the cap to put pressure on Cas and Wakey to improve their ways.

Its typical Yorkshire to want to make things more competitive by bringing everyone down to the same level rather than forcing them to improve, all that does is create an artificial competitiveness that quickly destroys any quality in the game.

They never forgave us for flushing toilets at Langtree Park. The comment from the RFL Yorkshire delegation was "they will be looking to wash their hands next" and you know what that means Eamon! Sinks and taps! whose paying for them! Its OK for you, you banker! we got our coin on the knocker selling to Yarkshire folk.

Who passed the info on Cyprus? It's just that they've never brought any fans to see them

From this list of players available in SL, I'd be keeping an eye on what happens with Matt parcel & Sam Kasiano. Both very good players who could be good for St Helens.
Parcell & Fattiano - - Utter garbage, both of them. The kind of dumb signing we made under the Cunningham era

I’m with you on Peyroux. Although he has improved he still is very average, and he doesn’t get involved enough. The stepping off the right foot and cutting back inside doesn’t fool many now. It’s his tackling that worries me and being out of position.

The problem is who could he be replaced by over here? The depth in SL is pathetic. Basically Saints and Wigan and to a slightly lesser extent Leeds are the only sides who organise their junior set ups to produce and nurture talented young players. Who have Hull produced in the last 15 years who youd say is near world class? Appalling record for a city club.

Peyroux is one of the best second rowers in Super League. He was sensational for us last season. What has he done to be so low in people's rankings now? Those saying we have the position covered, by who exactly?
