Fair point, 2 weeks ago Wigan were pleading poverty asking fans to donate season ticket money and players to take a pay cut. Then last week they signed John Bateman on a huge contract, and this week they are trying to buy a football club and stadium.

It’s not Wigan Warriors who are looking to buy Wigan Athletic though. It’s a consortium led by Ian Lenagan. IF it went through, the Rugby club wouldn’t own the football club. Both clubs would be owned by the same people. There’s a big difference.

Apparently, some clubs can't guarantee that they'll have a ground to play on. Something to do with administrators.

They could use ours. At a hugely inflated price considering Pollard is feeling flush.

Leeds appear to be one of the three that have sorted their players out.

Castleford, Hull KR, Salford, Wakefield, Warrington and Wigan still to sort out pay deals. Leeds verbal agreement only. Three weeks to go. Farce.

Toronto Wolfpack have told Super League they may not be able to finish the 2020 season due to visa issues with their seven overseas players.

Surely the RL will have known about this for months but I've not heard them mention this as a problem

I know what you mean but I've just seen a video on facebook of us training so if we're ready and others aren't why should we suffer because others can't fulfill their fixtures for whatever reason. It should be those teams fined and the game forefitted.

I'm sure if it were rugby union, there'd be some ex-public schoolboys in high positions within the Home Office pulling strings for the sport.

Unfortunately, this country still has an Establishment elite, and the old class system remains in place to a large extent. Even more unfortunately, substantial sections of the population have been successfully gaslighted by those with an anti-regulation agenda to blame the EU for all societal ills.

Surely our two influential MPs could pull a few strings for the good of the sport
