    Default Rugby (Players) Union

I have noticed a large number of Rugby League players have made the same post on social media.

"United we stand to work together for a greater game @gmbunion #onevoice" with a sky blue image.

This could be the start of players fighting back against the clubs looking to cut the salary cap and player pay.

I could agree with you but then we would both be wrong.

That's exactly what it is. I agree, good on them.

It’s nothing to do with the RLPA, apparently.

I am in agreement. The players in our sport have put up with a lot of nonsense in the last few years. Since the introduction of the salary cap they fallen behind the NRL and Rugby Union. Now the owners want to give them a pay cut without even consulting them.

If that was happening to me I wouldn't be putting up with it.

I am not suggesting it for a second, but surely the players (if enough get involved) have grounds for a strike to bring the owners to the table in terms of having a say, the game has stagnated for too long, too many executives and directors are happy with their lot whilst other sports have left us behind. Change is needed, not the change certain owners are trying to get, but pretty much the opposite of what the likes of Hetherington want.
