    Default Good Fridays Past

It's times like these you wish you had a time machine! 2004 and our encounter with those over The Lump, how I miss these past tussles.

Hope your all holding out and staying safe over Easter and beyond.

    We will get through this.

If you go on the St Helens Star website, there's some good videos, particularly the Saints Wigan final at Cardiff

Saints are live streaming the 2004 game via facebook today at 3pm. It'll also be on saints TV too.

Another fight that Newton started but couldn't finish.

His pan-faced captain had to come in and help him

When you look at some of that Wigan team - Newton, Cassidy, Hock, It's a wonder they ever managed to finish with 13 on the field Newton was probably the snidest player I have seen.

Thought O'Connor and Cassidy were the pick of the Thugby Bunch for the Goons.

Agree with you & Belgian. Off the top of my head I can think of:

    Shelford
    Skerrett
    Cowie
    Cassidy
    O'Connor
    McIlorum
    Hock
    O'Loughlin
    Newton
    Flower
    McDermott
    Hoffmann

Talking of Newton saw a tweet before saying he hated Saints as much as their fans do

I'd expect so being a Wigan lad. Hardly breaking news.

The feeling with Newton was mutual.
