One of the all time greats and classiest players to watch has passed away aged 81 years, we only had him at the twilight of his career, but he was still a great player, the last captain to win a tour of Australia

Learned comment from The Don
Great player from an excellent rugby family R.I.P.
Just to add sadly another great man passed away last night. Joe Frodsham a lifelong Saints fan, many of you who worked at Pilks would have known him. He was my wifes uncle R.I.P. Joe love you.
Frank came to Saints in exchange for Ray French in 1969 and although 31 at the time he gave us two years great service including a Championship triumph at Odsal.
One game that sticks in my mind was a cup game against Maryport. Frank ran the show but the Cumbrians had two players in different coloured shorts to the rest.
A different game in that era but Frank was a class act mainly with Widnes but then Saints and a stellar swan song as the Hornets player coach.
R I P and condolences to his family . Another great player gone.
Classy player. Didn't he coach the GB team on one Aussie Tour around the time Neil Holding was in the GB squad.
Any relation to Derek Frodsham
On the Back foot looking for the front one.
I was in the Sidac club Saturday night when we heard unofficially that we had signed him. Never seen any news pass through a crowd as fast as that. Great player. RIP
I was lucky to be taught by Ray french . He told the story of Frank Myler in our English class .Myler was once penalised for a forward pass, myler broke through and chucked the best dummy ever seen so much so the ref declared it forward . Myler scored under the sticks at saints and was showing the ball to the ref in dispute saying ‘ sir, i still have the ball’ . The ref had no of it and the try Disallowed .
Proper rugby family . Great player and tough men . Rest in peace Frank Myler
Another one I remember watching with my dad. What he accomplished Down Under for GB was outstanding and a credit again, to another Widnes great who played for Saints.
RIP to Frank's family and friends.
