Good game though, SL could look a bit pedestrian next week compared to some of these NRL games.

Especially with the flat commentaries from Sky, the commentators on the NRL seem to have a lot more enthusiasm for the game

Enthusiasm, knowledge, coherence, the list is endless. Adds another level to the game.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

They only need to sign another 10 players. Garbage this week.

A lot of them earning lots for very little. Im not sure spending $1 million a year of Fifita is the answer.

4.5 for three years on a 20 yr old with 1 yrs experience. Gamble! Who knows! I thought GC were okay today. They kept Penrith honest to the end

I'm watching it on record, obviously as soon as I posted that they started playing and it's the Panthers who suddenly look wrecked.

Looking on the Bulldogs Facebook page.

Thompson only had 6 hit ups and was subbed early.

They certainly arent using him right and the fans are well aware of it.

Being faie, we've had a good run with the amount of live NRL over the past couple months. So I can see why they've opted to maybe show some other sports as well.

Big weekend of our own domestic competition this week.

Any side that has Aiden Tolman playing in almost that James Graham second half back role is in trouble. To call him bang average is a complement. Then you have Thompson being spelled as a loose forward running onto second or third phase ball; his best work at Saints was far more direct. Bonkers.
Little sympathy as he chose the coin to leave early so he made his bed and now has to live with it.

Another win for JH and the Titans at the weekend.Extract from NRL site:

Much of the credit goes to Holbrook, who Gold Coast officials describe as “having a winning DNA” after taking St Helens from relegation danger to the Super League premiership last season.

    Relegation danger?

Not a good look for Kevin Proctor. Sent off for biting Shaun Johnson. Titans v Sharks. Sharks ran away with it.

I guess every team starts a season with 'relegation danger'!

Fair play to Shaun Johnson though saying 'lets just forget about it', doesn't excuse anyone biting but fair play to the guy for just trying to get people to take it no further.

Having watched it several times there is no bite. The Bunker should not be involved in this. No case to answer, but who knows!!!! Shaun Johnson showed no reaction at all and I think the look on Proctor’s face sums it up.

I've just seen the incident and to me it just looks unfortunate that Johnson's arm basically ended up in Proctor's mouth, it certainly didn't look like he bit down on it although they seemed to see it a bit different in the studio.

Not quite sure how Asafa-Solomona has only got 10 minutes for that, surely a shoulder charge to the head is a straight red, theres no attempt to use his arms, its about a clear a red card as you can get.

Smart money would be on the Storm. Man for man the Roosters are the best in the NRL but are limping with injuries lately. I would love to see the Raiders do it but they too have a lot of injuries. I reckon Parra will bottle it when it matters. They promise so much every year and fail to deliver.

EDIT: I completely forgot about the Panthers!! . Where did they creep up from this year??! Haha
