Well then...
Well then...
Been a while since I’ve been this lost for words. Has to be a Mike Rush signing....I know we need a centre but dear me.
Especially when Leutele is somewhat rumoured to be out the door.
Putting the "biscuit bones" jokes to one side, this strikes me as a bizarre bit of business. Wheeler, even when he's not injured, has no pace at all, isn't particularly big, and isn't known for his defence either. I struggle to see what he offers as a backup centre which Costello doesn't already offer. A really confusing signing.
Can only presume it’s for backup of backup.
Hopefully it doesn’t mean Bentley is out for longer than expected.
What? Is this confirmed?
It’s a rumour as of yet but just been released by Toronto

If he was guaranteed to stay fit, I could see the point because he's probably on peanuts, if not a pay as you play deal..
However he's no good being a backup if he's never fit himself
Well if this is true the honeymoon is over.
After sitting through that crap on Friday and now this, here is hoping Coronavirus causes the cancellation of all our games to give us time to come to our senses..
Humans are more concerned with having than being.
This has got to be cobblers surely?
We are going backwards in every way. I really hope this isnt true.
The same Wheeler who was BIGGING up playing at the great JJB the other week. This had better not be true.
It seems to be true. It's in TRL. Official.
This would be completely embarrassing if true. He’s played less than 30 times in the last 5 years.
NEVER WRITE OFF THE SAINTS
Also, what does it say about the likes of Simm and certainly Costello. The latter must be pulling his hair out.
NEVER WRITE OFF THE SAINTS
who is next, Travis Burns?
Come on lads lets get behind him if its true. He had some crippling injuries but can take inspiration from Lomax who has turned things around in recent seasons. If we have signed him it won’t be on mega money. Welcome back Wheeler. Stay off the pies this time round.
screaming in the family corner, scaring the kiddies
He should fit in well with rest of the close season signings.
This is definately the end of matty costello
58 appearances in 7 seasons at saints.
12 appearances in 2 seasons at wolves.
29 appearances in 3 seasons at Toronto.
That's 99 appearances in 12 professional seasons, a shocking record.

Wheeler made his debut in 2008 and has played 101 games, according to Wikipedia, in that time. Thats a mind blowing average of 8.41 games a year. Costello has played 44 since debuting in 2018. He’s averaged about 15 games a year having spent most of that time on dual reg with Sheffield and Leigh.
I’m scratching my head. I’d rather see Costello and Simm given a go rather than a player who never lived up to the hype.
