Told KW was there, I assumed he’d always be there but apparently not?

Well he was there this evening so maybe specifically watching something would seem to be stating the obvious. I do think it strange however he wouldn’t regularly watch any reserve match but there we are.

No idea just assumed he’d immerse himself in the club certainly early doors. Maybe video is the way to go for analysis but he wouldn’t get a feel for what was going on and how.

Looks a big score line in Saints favour, how strong where both teams that were put out?

U8s game looks a good game going off the close score line?

Yes a couple of our crowd went to the game..as usual. Good, clean, clinical game. Ashworth strong. Dodd nippy and Simm his usual strong game. KW there along with other 1st team coaching staff. Got the feeling he was wanting to see first hand the standard of play. Great 'team spirit' with these lads as well. Giants strong coming forward but couldn't compete with our defense. A cracking game to watch and a decent crowd came along to support them. I'm sure KW will have been impressed and he will have been given food for thought.

I have been to every 'home' reserves game this season and Kristian Woolf has always been there watching. The same goes for Richard Marshall. Wello is normally there too but didn't see him today.

The two centres in the reserves are Nico Rizzelli and Josh Simm. They didn't get a chance to show that much today to be honest. I am hoping that Simm gets a shot in the first team soon. He definitely has the ability.

As for Ashworth, he was playing at prop and had a decent game.

But yet again, Lewis Dodd was just pure class.

Thanks for the info, it’s reassuring that KW is actually immersing himself in the club as I’d have hoped. Let’s hope he’s seen something that might help unlock some of the issues we’re struggling with, notwithstanding the return of Coote.

Just to confirm that KW and the rest of the coaching staff were there as I stood next to them. The reserves are very good and Lewis Dodd can't be far away. Great kicking game, takes the line on ,scored a nice try and his defence is decent.

Ashworth and Batchelor were very good too.

I think I'd sooner see Batchelor given a go at centre when we're short rather than Knowles , I'm sure he played most of the season there for York a couple of years ago.

I think he was top try scorer in the division when he played there.

Forgot about him all depends if Woolf priority is to see him as a good defender but well worth a couple of games to see how he goes, seems to have that physicality about him.

We’re going to have to get this sorted quickly. Up against Shenton and Hurrell over next two games.

Have we had any update on Bentley, someone on here last week quoted Woolf as saying it is not as bad as first thought?

Hurrell and Shenton are both left centres so will be up against Naiqama not A N Other.

Wonder if we might see them swap sides for a spell in either game, test us down our left edge?

YG posted the article in the link in response to something I posted. Fairly vague on Bentley but no surgery required. I don’t know if anyone has anything more up to date:

Bentley was walking around the technical area before friday nights game. Didn't seem to be limping.

Full game on Saints TV now.
