There would have been a small contingency of extra fans from Warrington supporting Toronto last night, they must be mentally scarred to see 2 nilled matches go against them this weekend. Another situation is that they have also lost there end of season "Nil Cup" challenge going into 3rd place Leeds 36pts, Saints 32pts, Wire 19pts.

Duckie was on our board last year telling us that Tom Lineham was by far and away the best winger in the league

Just heard that Ashton has parted company with Sale with immediate effect. No doubt some shady character from Wire will be whispering sweet nothings in his earhole so that no other club could persuade him to return to RL. It's almost a carbon copy of the 80's/90's Wigan without the success.
On the Back foot looking for the front one.

Lets hope they sign him, he's 32 and would cost a fortune. It would take him all season to get fit.

Wire are looking at another centre, but it's not Chris Ashton.
And just too add, I wouldn't want Ashton anywhere near my club side unless there has been a BIG change in his attitude.

Great, another potential signing by the club with an optional salary cap...

Oh yes and Sale do a Cas on them regarding inducement to breach a contract. It’s not like Sale don’t know how that works

Tom Lineham appears to be unhinged as well, there was an "Out of Your League Podcast" special edition on the 2020 super league launch. He came over as a right bell end with Blake Austin and Steve Price taking the pish out of him.

I actually think Lineham is very funny but the monotone voice can obscure it.
As for Friday, luckily for me I was on holiday and had other things to occupy me, trying to book a last minute escape for this Friday as well!

Maybe your other winger will let you borrow his caravan.

I see Unilever are to close their 130 year old Warrington factory, citing falling demand.

It must be hard surviving on a net profit of €6bn a year.

Capitalism for you. Cream the profit, screw the workers.

I've no love for Warrington, but that stinks.

And they will make lots of money out of Covid 19 panic buying. Even bigger profits on the horizon.

falling demand for washing powder in particular has led to the site's demise

Failing demand for washing power yes, but also lack of management foresight to diversify the operations. But hey it’s an old site will high associated costs so rather than keep it going and modernise, just shut it, citing the fall in demand of the products. Sell off the land (prime location next to a main line railway station), build a new facility on the green belt and employ everyone on zero hour contracts.

But by switching to an alternative product manufacture, will not another factory be put at risk given the consequent reduction in output?

Seems Wire are even finding ways to cheat the shot clock rules. £5k fine for the pleasure of keeping Toby King on the field while losing to Wakey
