To be fair to Child, Chris Chester said he thought it should have been a penalty try while it is really the touch judge’s role to spot forward passes. As far as the Shenton play-the-ball was concerned, I think he put it down slightly on the Wakefield player’s foot which counts as a knock on if the defender has not promoted his foot so as to interfere with play.
For anyone looking for a reliable stream for tomorrow evening, 9Gem in Australia (part of the Channel 9 Network) is showing it. If you have a VPN, then you can watch it on their site for free (you have to open a free account - you have to register with an Australian postcode; simple enough done, I used the postcode of a famous Australian building lol).
This wind is howling. Tonight’s game will be a real war. Its not the sort of weather to let the ball do the work. Probably gonna be plenty short passes and tries from close range. I can’t see us making many opportunities with moves. Its gonna have to be carriers like Lomax and Fages taking on the line with dummy runners creating foils for them. COYS

Bit concerned about having Welsby at fullback. No doubt he will get targeted. I have confidence in Bentley at centre though. COYS!!

Come on Saints! Cheer me up!
Reckon we have a 30-35% chance in this game. Got to hit the ground running and turn in a full 80 minute performance. No dips allowed!
But... never write off the Saints!
Is Phil Clarke wearing a velour suit???

Nice touch from both sides with the warm up shirts.

Very pleased at HT. Their control of the ruck is a bit scary but we’ve taken no rubbish and we’re right in it.
Dirty Roosters gets. Obvious they set out to try to intimidate and foul their way to superiority. Impressed with our lads, but the ref seems too star-struck and has given them everything.
We're playing 14.
Discipline with and without the ball is going to be key in the 2nd half. Can not afford to give Roosters a platform to attack in our half. Still all to play for.

If we can get equal call from ref we can win this.
I've a feeling the Roosters are in second or third gear and that we saw what they're capable of when they stepped on the accelerator for the second try
That said, I think we've more to offer too
Incidentally, the Roosters jersey looks like someone wearing our jersey with a dodgy Christmas jumper on top.
Some stupid penalties gifting them field position. And some really panicked plays in attack are giving them this game.
Frustrating because I felt we didn't perform to the best of our abilities. Roosters didn't either in my opinion. That said, quite a few predicted this could be ugly (I was one of those who didn't) so it's all a learning experience and we can reflect on having given a reasonable account of ourselves. Just need to recover from this and not let it play on the mind though we bounced back against Hull following Warrington so that's positive. Onwards and upwards. Come on Saints!
