This is where sport psychology come in, the Rooster are very confident of winning, (reminds me of the Windies cricket team from years ago)oppositions thought they had lost before the game,

Would love to see us win this but I don’t think we will.

Didn’t they only scrape past a bang average Wigan team last year? I know teams change over time but we have to believe we can win. We’ll have to play better than the last 3 games but teams involved in the WCC often have scratchy starts in the league

Boyd Cordner ruled out apparently. Roosters will miss him.

They’ve lost Latrell Mitchell as well, of course, so that’s two of their main men from last year.

They’re quite a team, though, and we’ll do well to give them a game. Mind you, exactly the same was true of the Broncos in ‘00 and ‘07, so you never know.

Cooper Cronk has retired also. Those three will take some replacing however the men from down under always seem to able to do it comfortably.

    You’re right....

Look at the CC final last two seasons, and the GF in 2017 and 2018. All 4 examples of the “better” teams not winning when push came to shove....

We have a better chance than we did against the Bunnies in ‘15 and if Wigan gave them a game last year we should be capable of anything

I just want us to compete and be in with a chance I still have nightmares over that Rabbitohs game. Would rather win this and lose the next two these don't come round very often.

A good point. Maybe we tend to get overawed by the Aussies before they put their boots on.

Its like reading a depression manual , of course Saints can win but if Saints players read this lot they may just think sod it we have no chance anyway . I would ask why not think you can win ? its just another game of Rugby not footy like that lot play , and anyone who really thinks that the Aussie teams don't take it seriously then take another look at the Brisbane team at the end of the game that we beat them in , they was mad , Lets get there in good spirits and shout our heads of for our team and if we are good enough to win just watch the future oppositions faces with jealousy C O Y S.

I'd rather win this than any other game this month, 15000 plus, the majority supporting Saints.. don't think many fixtures would attract such a crowd..

It'll be tough but as we know from Wembley, on the day it's anybody's

I see Betfair are offering 20/1 on first score being a Saints penalty. I don't think that's bad value...
Bookies generally offering Roosters win between 10-12 on the handicaps.
I've not seen the first try market which is generally a good bit of fun.

Discussion on "Out of Our League" Series 2 episode 4, its really good leading up to the Roosters Game with Makinson-Flash-Wilko-Sully-Wello. Scully looks as though he could still play the game.

Why are we holding open sessions for them, like they’re royalty? Should be s**thousing all week and turning the hot water and heating off in their dressing rooms, not acting like this.

What''s wrong with our fans and coaches watching them train. Our coaches and players may get some idea of tactics, and the club will gain revenue through the kiosk and possible additional ticket sales.

Nothing wrong with it. We have a great stadium and we should rightfully allow the convicts to see that not every team in the UK plays in a rented dump or a building site. I've changed my mind about this game and I'm glad to be heading home for it. I don't think we'll win but I'm hoping we put a show on and come through without any injuries.

Not really surprised that he's not supporting Roosters, by all accounts from Aussie press he didn't have a particularly happy time there, and couldn't keep his first team place and they off loaded him. He certainly does appear to have changed his life around, good luck to him in that apart from when he's playing us, and in his new role as the President of the Johnny Lomax fan club.

No Cordner, but still a strong Roosters squad to face us on Saturday. Looking forward to this one.

Trent Robinson is calling for both of the games governing bodies to form a long term plan for the competition.
