That’s what I’ve heard anyway. I think we’ve got a better chance than people think on Sunday, Hull will be without Ma’u, Satae and hopefully Ellis. I’d still have them as favourites but I’m not convinced they’re as good as some are making out.
With Coote & Percival both out, who will do the goal kicking - Makinson? (I hope he's been getting some practice).

My original post being ,play the same team at Hull whilst leaving out those who may be returning from injury or carrying a minor injury . That way ( hopefully) fielding a full strength team in the WCC perhaps lacking match fitness but gaining match fitness for the coming SL fixtures.

The WCC is something i would love us to win the the current unprecedented situation is simply bad luck and accept the fact we are likely to field a weakened team in the WCC . So , why not proceed to post WCC whereby , with a bit of luck , we will be in a position to field a fully fit injury free team thereafter
I'm talking about match fitness. You can train pre season as much as you wish but you only get " match fit" by playing.
I'm not suggesting playing guys who have a genuine knock I am saying it is foolish to rest physically fit players on the pre assumption that there is a bigger prize in The WCC. I personally think that is debatable anyway.

I bet those big lads at Hull were wishing it we the case.
Clearly some people enjoy seeing a turnstile in action...

Exactly, he can kick goals but he still looks timid to me.

If percival is out for a couple of months (assuming no surgery) and Simm/Rizzelli are not in the running.
(Woolf mentioned Costello , Batchelor Bentley) is it worth a loan or dual reg ?

Kristian Inu (can kick goals) , Jake Mamo , Iain Thornley , Elliot Kear.

Just someone short term to plug a gap. Always prefer promoting the youth from within
but if they are injured or not ready then might need to be pragmatic.

Not forever just a couple of months.

Id be disappointed if Bentley and especially Batchelor were considered for centre ahead of Simm.

As if Warrington would loan us Mamo.

I just threw up a few names off the top of my head.

The point still stands , if there is a gap for a few months
and the youth aren't ready then get someone on loan.

Jai Field another speculative name but would probably need to be a year deal.

I’d take Inu for a couple of months, the rest are all sh*te and I’d rather watch Simm or Rizzelli struggle for a bit but at least gain some experience.

That's a thought. What happened to him after London? Is he just hanging around or does he have a club? I would certainly take him over our other potential replacements.

Don't know if he's still over here or gone back to Australia but I'm almost certain that he hasn't got a club

Yep. With you on this one. I see centre as a position where it is hard to get players filling in there as a stop gap effectively. Need actual centres or at least a decent sized fullback or winger

    I know what you mean.

But was he that bad though? Scored some good tries for us (remember that quality step inside off Percival's pass at Leeds).

He did do a seriously stupid thing at Cas in the play offs in 2017, which is tattooed into my memory

If Percy is out for a considerable amount of time then I would maybe look at moving Welsby to centre once Coote is back.

Personally i thought him mediocre. He wasnt a bad player like some of the tragi-comedy players we all know but he was mediocre and a lightweight in my opinion. We should be worried if he were a viable option to he honest. Id struggle to say he was serviceable, as I say tge lack of interest signing him tells much you need to know.

Yeah see your point. Lost count of the number of times he got head knocks

Most. Id rather hedge of a kid than a 5/10 player like Morgan who wont graduate beyond that. He is a Widnes quality signing at best.

Could be an option. Just not sure about him and Grace on same side. I'd be tempted to put Welsby at right centre & move Kev to the left
