Hopefully frequently towards the underneath of the sticks with the backs.

Bentley is more solid in the middle so I think we'll look to soak up any early pressure that Warrington have and hit them later in the half.
I agree with this. It also gives us a bit of cover if we need it elsewhere.

Welsby to FB, Naiqama on the wing, Costello to come in for Coote.

Come on Saddo, you know the answer to this as you spend more time on our board than I do on here. We were at least one prop short until the signing of Latu, he isn’t match fit so that means we are going into the match without what should be 2 first 17 props.

Have you ever seen Latu play? Do you know for sure he will be a regular in your 17 when all your players are fully fit?

Genuinely have no idea hence "should be", just hoping he isn't another Asotasi! Have to assume he has been signed as more than a squad filler though as he has been brought in from Aus. I have no idea about how that fits in with the quota either.

This article says Costello will come in and Naiqama to the wing.

So now it’s just a toss up between Knowles and Smith or Paulo I reckon.

Costello is ok but he is a been given a go and he is just a bit Matty Fleming for me.
I’d have Costello at centre and Naiqama on the wing, when Costello played last year i thought he did a decent job and he’s far better than Fleming.

He improved after being at Leigh. I'm happy for him to be given a go.

Just reading the coaches latest Q&A he says Paulo has done well and will get another run tomorrow. He also said Amor, Tommy and Knowles are not far off. So not sure if that means Knowles will not feature. He also mentioned Coote not being out long term, but no mention of Roby in any of the injury updates.

That’s how I interpreted it with Knowles too. Based on what’s been said today:

    Welsby
    Naiqama
    Costello
    Percival
    Grace
    Lomax
    Fages
    Walmsley
    Bentley
    Thompson
    Peyroux
    Taia
    LMS

    Smith
    Lees
    Ashworth
    Paulo

I agree. Paulo still worries me somewhat, but will trust the coach. That’s said I can’t see him featuring once Knowles is back.

Paulo is a waste of a spot for me which ever way you look at it. Shouldn’t be anywhere near the team sheet.

Same team as last week, except Costello to centre and Naiqama to wing. Welsby starting FB in place of Coote

Need to put some pressure on Ratchford kicking. He's had an age to deliver every kick.

Looks like we’re playing with a huge lack of confidence, how can that be. Some of the efforts have been poor tonight also. They want it more so far by a country mile.

Clueless in attack. Limited possession. Not going to be Saints night I think! Not the end of the world! Warrington win makes them champions! Ha ha

Proving costly this game so far Walmsley out, Percival's definitely picked up an injury and will be lucky to finish the game. Add those two to Knowles, Coote, Roby and Makinson.... half a starting team.

Not one scoring chance. Have the wheels fell off already.

Some lessons to be learned from that half.
We are lucky only to be 13 points behind.

Yes we have had to reshuffle the team a bit but I think this tells us that you need safety in the back 3. Catching the ball first is essential, I would be tempted to drop Percival to the wing, he is usually good under the high ball.

Said it numerous times and I’ll say it again. James Bentley is not a hooker. He’s also becoming a liability with his penalties. Needs sorting out ASAP.

Think this really shows how great Coote is. We’re missing him in attack and look lost without him. My issue with Lomax and Fages is neither is a proper leader.
