    Default Widnes Season Launch Dinner

Just got back from attending Widnes Vikings season launch dinner. What friendly club and a very professionally presented event. The meal itself was superb. I can only wish them every success this year. There is a lot of optimism around the place and a lot of good people pulling together. Realistically I would think after losing a lot of good young players a top six finish would be an achievement.

I like to see all (except two) local clubs doing well.

That used to be me, but I've added Leigh to the list of clubs I want to see crash & burn.

Yes I think Webbo was disappointed about the Tories getting the Leigh seat in the commons. I still have loads of time for Leigh and Widnes, two good clubs, proper rugby towns with good speccies as to be fair are most Wiganners. Not many coach windows smashed by those fans. Warrington always nasty and just a crap club going back to when Murphy became coach. Wakey and Fev very similar to Wire yet Cas to me has always been a good laugh albeit the asbestos capital of sporting grounds.

A week to go before we begin the process of slashing our wrists and bleeding to death - and there's flag-shagger morons who can't wait to celebrate

Hopefully Saints’ performances from next Friday onwards won’t be that bad!
