All professional clubs have an insurance policy whereas a one off payment and a lifelong payment is paid to players . Yes quite a few thankfully (although the players would like the injuries have never happened) to a couple of the lads at Saints in the 80s & 90s , just as every employee are covered in this country , comes under "personal injury at work".

Tony Smith in a press conference has said quote (This is a career-ending injury. If Mose is able to walk again that will be a success,” Smith said.)
    I for one am gutted.
Humans are more concerned with having than being.

I also think that the basic cover payouts for that particular scheme look pitiful. Hopefully clubs and players can see that and top it up significantly!

Our home game against Hull KR in Round Nine is our eighth Super League game of the season, eight being the number Mose wore for us. I sincerely hope that game becomes the Mose Masoe Round for us and Hull KR and there’s buckets, raffles and auctions to raise some funds for his recovery.

The most awful news. My heart goes out to him and his family. Thoughts and prayers are with them.

I was hoping for the best, and that it wouldn't be life-changing, but this is almost as bad as it can be.

    Best of luck, big man.

Horrific, really hope Mose can have a good quality of life at some stage and he makes a recovery.

Never had any feeling for Hull KR, but I'm kinda willing them on to stay up this season now with the setbacks they're going through.

Hull KR hav set up a Just Giving page for Mose. You can add on Gift Aid, which adds more than a collection:

There's a red tab at the top left of the main forum home page that +Post New Thread.

You could've chosen a more suitable thread to ask though.
