Default Only a Few Hours Now...

....and it will be Warrington's year again.

Maybe we can then expect a long awaited visit from our Banjo playing friend and other assorted Dires telling us how they will walk SL in 2020 with their star new half back combo.

Cant wait for that plane to fly over the Home of The Champions!

Have thought for the last couple and still think for next year, that they’re the biggest competition we have. I think Wigan will, in Wigan style, come good at the back end of the year but think Wolfs have the stronger squad of the two.

I would agree. On Warrington, I think with the addition of Widdop to partner Austin, it means they will have the strongest half back combination in the competition. On paper at least. With Ratchford at full back and Clark at hooker too, they've got some very good pivots. Have they got enough in other areas though, that's the question for them?

You'd have to think Burgess (George) and Hastings will improve Wigan as well. Interesting to see they've given Bevan French the number 6 jersey. Will he partner Hastings in the halves?

Big if for Wire though. Widdop and Ratchford injury prone. Can Clark shine behind an ageing pack? And Austin has spent the off season trying to climb out of Lomax’s pocket.

Wigan have a decent back line, especially with Hastings. But their pack is rubbish, even with the addition of Burgess.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

    Behave.

2 slow stand offs there. Widdop is long past his best & Austin is nowhere near the level he's hyped up to be.

They beat us at Wembley without him

I can remember when Dougie Lawton said Bishop and Cooper were too slow, then we handed Leeds (Bobby Goulding et al) their arses on a gold plate, in the cup at Headingley

Fair point. I might eat my words. Dont think either of them are much to fret about though
