I don't like the idea of players doing this, but I must confess to having a smile and snigger at this one.

Please be true, i quite liked him last year, he came over with a reputation of being difficult but proved a lot of people wrong, i thought he was good last season and came across rather humble. He may have had thoughts about the culture at Wigan, how many off the field issues has there been there over the last few years. He probably wants to go back to the NRL soon and maybe doesnt want anything to negatively affect that, something the off field culture at Wigan could do.

There is 1, the drink driving culture that seems to run through the club... how many have been done in the last year.

The Mole says, He's heard Hastings not happy about his deal with Wigan and he's got a number of NRL clubs after him but he will probably return to England for one season possibly not now with Wigan before returning home in 2021

Richie Myler is also surplus to requirements at Leeds.

It would be absolutely hilarious if true and would completely derail Wigan’s season before a ball has been kicked.

Decent player but nothing more. I sometimes watch him and wonder what all the fuss is about. That said it would still disrupt them massively

Cue: “Jackson’s going home” songs all season to get our own back after Barba.

Looking at the bigger picture don't like it if its true making Superleague more like a "feeder league" until something better comes along. It's the goons though so the mocking bird sings into the new season.

    Default Jackson Hastings

After you’ve signed a contract I’m not sure you can turn around and say you don’t fancy it anymore. From a legal perspective that is.

As much as I hope it disrupts Wigan it could set a dangerous precedent if they allow him to rip up the contract.

Ultimately the player has all the power in this situation. If they force Hastings to fulfil his contract, they get a player who hates them and wants to leave, which is of no use to them. The best they can hope for is that this change of heart is because of a firm offer from another side, who Wigan can then extract some form of recompense from.

I hope he does play for Wigan next season. The game needs a strong Wigan just so long as we are stronger.

Sounds a bit like the Shaun Edwards situation.

I rate him as a player and was made up he was staying over here . With Hastings in the squad wigan would certainly have challenged us next year. Unfortunately SL needs players like Hasting so i hope he remains in SL

I'm not sure, their pack isn't the best, even with Burgess.. still think they're a prop light and the back rowers are either too young or too old
