NEVER WRITE OFF THE SAINTS
7.45pm on a Saturday night?-great!
Fantastic news, well done Saints and the Roosters. Luckily they have a coach who truly believes in the international game and the WCC concept. I genuinely can't wait.
We haven't lost any players from last year and I just hope we go into it without injuries. The Roosters will be taking it seriously and if we win then it will be fully deserved.
Can't wait personally. How many sleeps is it?
Learned comment from The Don
If Gold Coast would let him come over Justin should be guest of honour
Bah, possibly at a 30th birthday that night. Dammit!!
So glad its a goer.
Great news, looking forward to this one, Roosters have been outstanding, it's going to be one hell of a battle for us, but one I think the team, our new coach and all us fans will relish.
COYS
Not sure about the Roosters but for once the team we will go into the WCC with should be pretty similar to that which won the championship.
Usually there has been wholesale changes in the squad with in's and out's. As it stands no new signings and the couple that have shipped out ( Swift/ Douglas) didn't really feature in the campaign.
Now stillia have reformed it would be good to see them play before the game again.
It's hard to imagine how he could be better. He's certainty done a fantastic job with Tonga. I'm sure no one would have ever thought they would be able to compete with, let alone beat Australia! He seems to have got them playing a great style too. Hopefully we have got the perfect man for the job!
I just hope its a closer game than what we have played in the past, the nilled game is still a big dissapointment for me. We do have the players to defend well and score points but we do need to avoid that strangle hold that the NRL sides can inflict on a super league side.
The mental approach will be important it needs to be played as though its the last game of the season and not one slotted between super league games with risks of being injured for the rest of the season.
I don't expect us to beat the Roosters, but I expect us to put up a considerably better fight than we did against Souths in 2015.
