Sad news
What a season he ahd playing outside of Mal Meninga.
Great goal kicker and may even have been the leagues leading points scorer 84/5 if I remember right
Very sad news, RIP Sean.
R.I.P sean, sad news. X
Very sad to hear. His big season in 84/5 was my first watching Saints, so he's always a name I remember well.
Terribly sad news. Remember him kicking goals from everywhere in the Lancs cup final of 1984 at Wigan when Mal destroyed them. RIP Sean
Really sad news R.I.P Sean.

I am fairly sure that he was in the Guinness book of records as leading points scorer that season, I used to see him go and try to get the ball to kick the goals until someone must have said " let him kick " , I think I am right about the record book , I hope .
Leading points scorer and think he didnt kick in a few games as Meninga did with his toe enders
Meninga didnt do that well with the foot so Sean Day took over again
In the Meninga season 157 goals and 12 tries
Really good kicker and lively winger. Remember him very fondly. What a shame! RIP
Don’t know how to attach a link but You Tube highlights of Saints v Hull 1984 which Saints won 47 - 18 shows Sean at his best. Great watch and brings back so many memories.
Just post the link in your reply: the system will recognise it and hotlink it.

Headtackle that is whatb I was meaning when I said he used to try to get the ball to kick the goals but Meninga carried on and if there was one thing that Meninga wasn't good at it was kicking goals , Sean Day was , just think what his record would have been if meninga had given him the ball.
What an absolute shame. We have lost so many Saints in recent times. Sean will always have a place in our history for a unique reason in a unique season. RIP
RIP Sean, thoughts with your family.
