It is disappointing to see Widdop start over Lomax. Especially considering Widdop’s been injured most of the year. Quite a few other players should also be nowhere near the 25 man squad.

Don`t think Lineham is slow Belgian. Seen him go the length of the field at Wakefield a couple of times, with Ben-Jones and Johnson giving chase. I would agree he is a penalty machine, irritating and thinks he is an enforcer but he can run. Hall and McGilvray have turning circles like a oil tankers only Hall takes longer and needs more space.

Let them all play how some of them even got picked I,ll never know. Not bothered if our players don’t get on. And who took hunt ,Lunt and Cunningham to comment. Wish they talked sense. Only telling us what we can see.

Thought Lineham had pace when he was at Hull. but IMO he is currently like a carthorse. Re the other two I questioned both of there selections last week

Yeah I would not swap Tommy or Regan for either of them. I think Lineham is ahead of either of the current incumbents and should have been selected in the squad ahead of those two once Tommy was ruled out. Charnley offers more as a winger as does Tomkins to the back line partnered with Johnny.
Both of those should have been selected instead of Hardaker.

Here's how I see it baring in mind current injuries and non inclusion of Aussies.

    1. Evalds
    2. Charnley
    3.
    4. Connor
    5. Lineham
    6. Lomax
    7. Tompkins
    8. Thompson
    9. Clark
    10. Graham
    11. Whitehead
    12. Bateman
    13. Knowles

    14. Hodgeson
    15. Walmsley
    16. Watts
    17. Smithies

I think that's a balance between pace and power, youth and experience hence why I left Grace out, if Percival had been available I'd have probably gone with him. As it is I'm struggling for a right centre.

Even if Percival was fit Bennett wouldn't pick him for whatever weird reason only he knows.

I don't think Lineham is that good, he tends to run with his head down not looking at what's around him, but I generally agree with what you are saying.

Knowles is injured as well or he'd have been playing.

Smithies isn't ready yet. He might get there, his workrate is impressive and he's got potential. But in the big games he's been utterly bullied in Super League, particularly the last two games against Saints and Salford. The Tongans would have ripped him apart. Lam was irresponsible with how he used Smithies this season, far too raw to be playing every week like he was once he broke through. He should have been brought in and out to help him develop. A lot was made of his tackle count against Salford in the first game, and it's incredibly impressive, but I'd love to see a stat on how many he metres he was marched back during those.

I think Lineham is pretty shitt to be honest; guaranteed mistakes off him every and I do think there are better options than him.

To be honest Regan is not the finished article but better than most. However compared to Owens and Dawson he is Vollenhoven.

Probably not no but it was what I would've picked.

I didn't realise Knowles was injured and fair point regarding Smithies but then Jones and Burgess hardly set the world on fire coming off the bench. There's plenty of props to choose from, Ryan Sutton, Mike Cooper, Joe Philbin and Lee Mossop of the top off my head.

Seems to divide opinion. I could be wrong as I'm in the minority who thinks he's alright. Wish Josh Addo-Carr was British

    Decent that.

'It's Jonny you know...hard to believe it's not Johns.'

(Not strictly a fit mind as Johns was a scrum half and not a stand off)

I was being facetious. I really don't like this idea that every player has to have his own song, most of them are garbage anyway.

I agree Ralph, Lineham's all right, Hall was a great player for Leeds in his day, and strong which is what you need against Tongans. The hymn singing was quite ethereal at times and in key.
