Would have liked to have seen the colours the otherway around on the away shirt (get why they've done it though), but on the whole I really like both shirts.
I ate a tuna sandwich on my first day!

Decent enough looking kits as far as O’Neills go but debased a bit by the Kinaxa Logistics partnership logo being where the town crest should go imo.

Agreed, looks cheap. Home kit should always be primarily white. Iconic.

Was trying to work out what these reminded me of and the post by Rugby AM on Facebook has just hit the nail on the head....

I like the home kit, the magic weekend shirt had a lot of red in it which I liked so its been adopted on the new shirt. The top part of the shirt is red which adds a bit of symmetry with the red shorts. Will probably buy the home shirt.

Bit too much red in the home kit for me but it is still pretty smart. The away one is absolutely outstanding imo. I rarely buy replica shirts but may consider getting the away one.

I actually don't mind the design of the kits this year. They look half decent, particularly like the away kit. Has anyone seen them in the flesh yet, may just be the lighting but on several of the pictures the colour of the home kit looks wrong, it's too bright a red. But as already mentioned on here the quality of the finish is very poor. Look at the stitching on the kit for example, white stitching through the red sections on the home kit and blue stitching through the white sections of the away kit. It looks so cheap. The one block colour texture of the finish is also very bland and boring. Detail it, have the town crest in tones of red through the red section on the home kit, have iconic commentary written in tones of blue on the away. There would be a slight cost implication of both, but it's just printing still so nothing massive.

It's got the look and quality of manufacturing as those 'holiday kits' you get in Spanish beach resorts. Your ultra cheap Barca and Holland kits that everyone buys to play in the pool in but then use as pyjamas when they are back home as they'd never be seen dead in the park with them on over here.

If they added the quality touches to the finish, adding some trimming to the edges, textures to it, tags on the sleeves etc there is a cost implication, but they'd also sell way, way more kits if there was an air of quality about them for once. Kids will want the kit no matter what is on it or what the quality is, it's the adults who will again give this a miss and wear their Earth Money cotton kit from years ago.

I don't know why they change the colour of the badge on the away shirts.

As a combination of Home and Away possibly the best two for a few seasons.

If I’m being picky I don’t like that much red either. Much prefer the predominantly white kits and I think white shorts would have looked much better on the home kit. However I’m being a bit picky there as it’s a nice shirt. The away one is superb.

I prefer the coloured shorts myself. Just from a personal point of view. If I buy them, white are harder to keep looking good if you wear them at training ha ha

Can you post a pic of them in the flesh? (not your flesh obviously, that would be weird )

I’m happy with mine. Regarding detailing it’s got silver “flashings” on the sides.

Surely they should have just kept it plain white???? Does the away one have that same detail?

It’s always interesting reading the diversity of views whenever the new kits are revealed. I like both and thought the quality was better than some of the previous seasons when I had a look at them yesterday while picking up season tickets. I do think that the Kinaxia logo on the home shirt would have been better with a white background as on the away shirt but that’s only a minor issue. As far as having the town crest on the shirt, I’ve never liked that but perhaps that’s because I’m not from St Helens and don’t care about any historical link.

Tabasco, are you an Ipswich Town supporter? Someone else is on here, apart from me. I always wrestle with the fact that I've always supported St Helens even though I don't have much connection with the district. My mother and her family are from Burnley.

I am indeed a Tractorboy but it’s not something to advertise too loudly in recent years.

I think both the shirts are great and I also prefer the kit to have red shorts as opposed to white. My only dislike is the badge being blue on the away shirt. This has happened a couple of times on blue away shirts. Badge should always be red in my opinion. Can I ask anyone who's seen or bought the shirts, is the badge stitched on or printed? I liked last year's shirt as the badge was stitched on rather than printed which I always think looks a bit cheap and naff.

I'm with you on the colour of the badge on the away shirt, but I still like both of them.
