Brilliant piece of individual skill from Percival but the try of the night for me was the move from the scrum. Roby, Fages and Taia played their parts perfectly.

A really well worked move that the ex Wigner commentator "Clarke" reckoned it was illegal. Read this mornings paper you wigan git.

What was supposedly illegal about it?

I think he was implying that Fages should have retired to the back of the scrum, when you replay it Theo just keeps out of the way to allow Roby to execute the set play with "Ukuma" Tai.

Think it was about Fages not retiring. Clarke should retire.

Two different but brilliant tries. To pull that scrum move out in the Grand Final is great coaching and execution and Percy’s try was individual brilliance especially on that stage - I think it will go down as one of the great GF moments

He couldn't even explain himself properly then Stupid Stuart piped up about players being held in the scrum or some other nonsense clutching at straws.

I always get the feeling Clarke has to say something, anything... just to get the attention of Carney who seems to think its the Brian Carney TV show and tends to ignore him at times, you cān feel that there a a bit of friction between them, perhaps a bit of jelousy on Clarke's part who maybe thinks I should be doing that

I'm glad someone else has noticed that. I don't mind Carney too much but Clarke is full of his own self importance when in reality he's an ex player who's got a cushy job. He likes the sound of his own voice too much and to be honest is out of touch with game.

In addition to the try, Percy ran some good hard yards last night

I am just watching a replay. Clarke doesnt say the move was illegal at all. He said it it was innovative. The he said was illegal was when Regan Grace jumped into a tackle early on. He was right to be fair. I am no fan of Ckarke but credit where credit is due. He was better than the others in the commentary box. Especially Bill Arthur when he described Big Al as a prop rower.....

He was outstanding. Up there in contention for the HS trophy IMO.

I think I read somewhere that he was the games top tackle buster with 10. He looks as though he has put on more muscle and the strength that goes with it this season.

He didn't live but says right at the end of the coverage when they are doing the highlights

Yes, just watched that part. I must apologize. He was just really covering up for Stuart Cummings saying it was a good try. Probably also trying to point out that what goes around comes around.

Totally deserved his try, he had a great game last night and made some cracking runs. Brilliant try too.

Ive openly questioned Percivals big game mentality and mental strength on here a number of times.
I said on here the other week that we need players to step up in the finals and win the game even if it ment them straying from the structure and/or gameplan. He showed great ability and confidence in taking his try last night. Well done Percy!!

Percy gets far too much grief from his own fans.

He tests defenses and makes and scores some excellent tries.

I think, whilst Taia put in an immense shift last night & took the ball in like a demon, he didn't play a game for the benefit of his centre (in terms of getting his arms through and the pass out to Percival). Taia has been brilliant for us and has offered an almost unique skillset in modern SL, but he perhaps can't give the whole package now - or perhaps it has become the gameplan.
