This is the issue that mcmanus has opened, by questioning the ref its now open season for anyone with an agenda (bitter wire fans) to now do the same after every game.

Just watching the replay and not one bad call in the first 40.

I’m sure when Jack Ashworth got penalised as off side Kendall was shouting “George! George! You’re offside!”

Thought he had a good game overall though...

All these neutrals took the moral high ground in their opinion of referees when we complained about Hicks

They’re all just bitter and jealous - as we would have been if it had been Wigan/Wire/Leeds

    Its because of those comments.

    This is payback.

That was for the Taia try from the scrum, not Percy’s try.

Yep, sorry, it was the mention of offside that confused me. Watching it back now the commentators were terrible last night, mentioning offside when it was the kicker who scored, what a bunch of clowns.

    Let them.

I'm made up McManus had the balls to speak up about Hicks, his cosy relations with Wire, and the disgracefully one-sided reffing display in the CCF, which has ultimately robbed us of a clean sweep and given those w**kers in Warrington some smug bragging rights.

If it means we get equal treatment in other finals, then perfect.

Other fans still whinge about the Withers knock-on all those years ago so screw em.

Millward built up a brilliant siege mentality and I'd be happy with that returning.

Not to mention the Joynt voluntary tackle that went on to create a legendary thread of its own.

I was surprised when he was interviewed on the pitch we did not have a rendition of "he fell over"

This type of game is what's needed to bring in the crowds fast good open rugby no trying to con the ref into a penalty no grubbing about on the floor where 2 more players join in the tackle just to try and reef the ball no sly punching played with a great attitude by both teams it was great to watch

McManus certainly has my support in speaking up, not that that counts for anything. McManus only asked for clarification of some decisions. I remember Cas, Wakey and Wanky all moaning about refs after games this season.

Agreed, i have no doubt the standard of officiating has been mentioned to the RFL by clubs over the last few years behind closed doors, but it looks like there has been little movement by them. It seems like McManus had had enough of not getting a satisfactory response that he decided to bring it out in to the open, to put pressure on the RFL, not the referees, to improve standards. Nothing has been said about Warrington not having James Child since the Catalan incident, it seems like the RFL made a decision to not have him referee them.

Spot on, both teams played properly right to the end which is a credit to Ian Watson.

He did for the Taia try and Welham complained that he’d been held in! Thaler checked it quite a few times so the business of where Theo was could’ve been reason enough to disallow it, but as we know, he didn’t.

If you watch Welham he wasn't even looking in the direction of the play when the scrum broke but then complained when he realised he'd been caught out

He missed the Hastings forward pass for Bibbys try and the call against Dudson he got wrong as Smith was all over him. They were the only big ones he got wrong.

There was also the missed headshot on grace (although you could argue he played advantage) and ashworth stupidly putting in the head (although I think inu was play acting to get the replays on the screen).
