Absolutely spot on appointment.
Robert Hicks in the sky studio???
Can't stop the spirits when they need you.
This life is more than just a read through.
Does anyone know of his local, I'm going to stick £100 behind the bar for him.
So has neither team's fans had a run in with him on social media in the build up to the game? If they had, they could do some PR and media with the club involved just before the show piece event...or would that put the referee in a strange position where his decision making could be called into question.? Hmmmmm??
Also if he waves the tackle count, perhaps stick with it!!
The only ref to keep the game flowing this season much better than last year, if he doesn't follow any "RFL Instruction" then we should get a fast open game. Has McManus invited him to tea + biscuits tomorrow.
I'll settle for that, let the night be about the players and a great game.
Many of us on here said we wanted him, just hope he does our faith justice. Based on his performances this year he deserves this appointment
Deservedly so, he has been the best referee all year.
Never a chance Hicks was going ref

Could well have caused a riot if he ( Hicks) gave us the same treatment as of that at Wembley ! Clearly the RFL are able to think rationally !
Absolutely made up super blue , guarantees us 20 points no question ! Why not put your mortgage on a saints win ?? Or your caravan if you live on the same estate as Big Josh!!!
Enjoy your Saturday in the Ale house shouting at the TV . All the best dude for next year
It would seem Club Directors do have some influence Warrington couple of months ago complained in the media about James Child and he had not refffed a Wire game since then, ditto with McManus and Robert Hicks has not reffed a game with us since.
One of the reasons I like Kendall this year is that being an ex player he is fairly fit and quickly follows play and he seems to get in the right position this season to see and make decisions quickly. Other refs struggle and can't keep up with the speed of the game and allow those extra seconds to get a breather. Robert Hicks is a good ref but he seems to be out of position quite a few times this year and does a lot of guesswork the so called loose carry versus ball strip is one of his weaknesses.
