Congratulations, all. That one is in the bag now. Well done!
I haven't been around here in a while and barely watched rugby league ever since I left the UK, but couldn't miss the Grand Final.

Well done Saints. Couldn't watch it as there is no Sky where I am staying in Invercargill. I shall be catching it tonight though. Champions!!!!!
Eamonn's rant did wonders for us, fair play to the man
Never been happier to be wrong. Thank the lord.
C'mon lads it was a foregone conclusion lol.
roy litherland it's happened i told you it would
Those dark days a few years ago were worth it for days like today. Savour it. Treasure it.

The best team by miles all season and truly deserved winners. It just means so much to win at Old Trafford after the horrible years we suffered there. So happy for all involved in the club.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.
I wasn't able to relax until the 75 min mark, but looking back that second half was pretty dominant. The commentary panel was so one sided a newcomer to the sport would think who are Salford playing against. Chuffed to bits for Holbrook if it doesn't work out for him in the NRL we can have him back in 2 to 3 years time.
Got the Sky commentary over here in New Zealand. Phil Clarke saying the second try should have been disallowed for the scrum half not retiring. Unbelievable - he must be really bitter tonight. Well done Saints - thoroughly deserved, can go back to bed happy now.
Absolutely, he made every effort to get back. If that had been penalised every scrum would result in a penalty. Thought we did get that lucky call when Dudson was penalised on first tackle on our line but even the commentary said the referee had an excellent game. There can't be any complaints. Best team won - a really clinical performance.
Well done lads. Well done to the staff.
Thank you Justin, all the best for the future.
Champions!!!!!
screaming in the family corner, scaring the kiddies
He was talking absolute crap, the scrum was on the 10m line,Fages retreats behind the 10m line. He just can't help himself, always comes out with something stupid to say, couple with Bill Arthur coming out with Akuma Tai every time Taia got the ball,it makes our comentary team look really amature.
Well worth waking up at 3am for! After all the pain and heartbreak of being so close and yet so far away over the past few years, it just makes make winning taste sweeter.
Congratulations to Salford too, who I though put in an excellent performance. A lot of other sides would have been blown away by how we started in the first 25 minutes.
Saints are the chokers ey? They look like Champions to me
Both Saints and Salford played to the best of their abilities, both teams barely put a foot wrong playing at 99%
We were the better team, as we have been all season, and our 99% was better than anybody else’s.
Salford can hold their heads up and I’d like to hope they get the same support next season as they’ve had today.
Can't stop the spirits when they need you.
This life is more than just a read through.
The tactic of not kicking on the last and taking the tackle paid off. The ingoal was only 5 metres so it would have been 7 tackle sets more often than not. We challenged them to go 90 metres knowing it would be difficult for them. Then when the kick came it was unexpected and produced the try that really finished them off.
Great point above about running on the last and leaving them to start under their posts. Worked a treat.
I was never massively worried about the outcome, even at HT I thought we would have a spell which would win us the game. Salford gave us a game but we are better than them and the result is a fair reflection of the way the game went and the difference in quality.
I was sat on the half way line and it was a majority Salford section, though wouldn't say they were Salford fans per se. Wiganers, Wire fans, Bradford fans all joining in with cheering for them, with some good Salford fans and quite a few bandwagoners who barely knew the rules and ended up chatting about United at 18-6 then mostly left at 20-6 to avoid seeing the "Scouse •••••••s" celebrating.
I thought our end was loud, it really swept across the ground and no doubt the players were inspired by it. Everyone there played their part tonight.
