Bit of a waffle so I do apologise.
So, at the TWS on matchdays I’ve noticed that the mobile phone data connection is very poor, it makes simple tasks as checking the other scores on the BBC website or a simple WhatsApp message to a loved one a long drawn out affair. This is obviously not Saints’ problem nor issue, but I think it takes away from the “matchday experience” especially as there’s not much going on at halftime these days. I’ve looked on the following website and found that there are 3 / 4 mobile phone masts approx. 1 KM away but because of the sheer mass of phones in the area on matchday this creates a choke point on the network(s).

I was thinking that Saints could turn this negative into a positive. Could saints try and have a mast installed at the TWS and charge one of the networks monthly for its use? Or better still, saints could solve the problem themselves by creating wireless access points around the ground for the fans to use. This could be chargeable of say £1 where you connect on and create a login, so the club get your email address details. This could then be used for targeted promotions in the future not just for saints’ fans but for visiting oppositions fans for tickets etc. Or you could tie in paying £1 for the fans WIFI with the halftime draw tickets, so you sign up to the WIFI and you get entered the halftime draw too or they could ping out the team sheet before KO. On sign in you have the saint’s homepage to load by default creating more traffic to the website and therefore you could demand more from sponcers as the site traffic would be higher. You could even run a quick post-match click and collect service from the club shop. There are loads of stuff you could do with it I suppose.
Just an idea for another revenue stream and data gathering for the club that’s all
