    Default Playoffs

According to Sky (and I've no reason to doubt them) the team finishing third gets an away play off game while the team finishing fourth is at home.

How is that a fair reflection of league standings?

3rd get a 2nd bite of the cherry of they lose, whereas 4th are in knock out competition from the start.

If 3rd win their game they're in the Semi final whereas 4th simply progress to the next stage.

So the mighty Wire finish 4th below Salford.

I'd love Cas to turn those lot over, can't see it as they've both been gash for weeks.

Would be nice to see. Hopefully Cas can raise their game as they have looked poor the last few times I have seen them.

Ambivalent to next week re Wire. Cas are shot.

Would be happy to see them beat the Pies if they come across them.

Ultimately want to see them get a full on TV trousering from either Saints or Salford.

Interesting that. Wigan turned Salford over twice when Wigan were quite retched. Salford are no mugs and I can see them really being up for it and the goons taking it lighter than say Wire. I as a Saints fan would like to think we would be at OT. Salford may just get there as well, stranger things have happened.

First things first, I ‘d just be happy for us to win the Grand Final. Then invest in something similar to this for Warrington next year.:

Me too mate. Knowing my luck they'd probably win the thing that season if we got that.

Cas are pretty hopeless in my opinion and will lose to Wire I reckon.

Bloody hell Roy thats a bold statement! If theirs one dark horse i reckon its Salford. Despite the cup final loss i do think we’ll get to Old Trafford. Most likely against Wigan.

Aye, I think the final will end up us and the bottom feeders, Salford darkhorses but I can't see it happening.

Their record at Wigan is almost as bad as it is at ours.

Will we then beat Wigan yet again this season only to lose the important one like with Warrington both this & last year?

I just think they will definitely be more battle hardened come old Trafford & we could be undercooked again because of the two weeks off.

Obviously we can't second guess whats going to happen, but with this play off system if we get to Old Trafford it will be on the back of one or two hard games.

We will more than likely play Wigan in the first game, I'm sure that will be a tough game but if we win it we know to expect another tough game in the final against them.

If we lose it we'll have to get past one of the other qualifiers so either way we shouldn't be under-cooked or complacent for the final.

Whoever we play it will still all hinge on our performance rather than the opposition
