    Default NRL Final Series

Just watching the Roosters v Rabbitohs game on sky and I have to say the Roosters are red hot today, they have destroyed the Rabbitohs in the first half, brilliant rugby. Wayne Bennett needs a miracle in this one. Roosters looking good for the grand final.

Canberra vs Souths this morning was a cracking game. Well worth watching if anyone has recorded it on their SKY box

Nice to see big Sia still doing the business for the Raiders . One of my favourite overseas players to play for the redvee !

Seen the second half, I quite dislike Souths for some reason. Canberra play some nice stuff though.

See Darren Britt's lad Dean was on the bench for Souths.

If he's half as good as his dad, he'll have a decent career

Great result for the green machine, I thought Hodgson was off twice in the first half, but he stayed on and in the end South's did not have any answer to the Raiders. Great result for Canberra and Bateman seems to be loving it and he's not out of place over there.

Saturday's game is the one to watch for me, Roosters v The Storm. The two giants meet in what will be a cracker.

Whilst I don't think the game was the best quality- I think both sides were a little off in attack, the intensity was certainly there! I thought sitting the two big front rowers down for 10 mins after the first hit up of the game was unnecessary from the officials. It was just hand bags and no punches thrown.

We are going to see history this weekend either way. The Raiders haven't won the competition for a long time but equally no team has won back to back premierships for just as long. I'm backing the Roosters. I fancied them to do it again this year as they've got a formidable squad, which has gotten stronger with the additions of Crichton and Brett Morris. I think they will be a little too strong for Canberra, but hope the English contingent do themselves justice. Josh Hodgson really is brilliant for them and did you hear the stat about him during the game? The master of the ball steal.

    Who are you tipping?

    Regards,

    STEVO

The pre-match address ending with ‘... I’m lost ...’ was pretty special too. Taken in good humour all round though.

Seems like the Roosters have been given a huge advantage by having a trainer on the field

Rules need to be changed because of that. Penalty against?

Scrum attack, is the rule for the ball accidentally touching the official, so I suppose that was the interpretation.

If your trainer is on the field and the ball hits him, that’s on you. That should have been a Canberra ball. If the rules say otherwise, they need changing.

Absolutely. Also what's he doing on the field after 3 minutes?

I think there should be something preventing that unless there's an injury. How can someone need hydration at that point?

Too easy that try, four there in defence but he gets through. Roosters go in front.

That Horsborough kid makes Bateman look tanned! You can't see where his legs stop and his shorts start!

2 stinking decisions = 2 tries for the Roosters.

Canberra been well and truly shafted by the refs here
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.

The Roosters are an incredible side and deserved premiers, but I can't help feeling they were really lucky with decisions tonight.

Without intervention they wouldn't have scored those 2 tries and you can't wave 6 more then change your mind. That's a horrendous decision by Cummings who was a shock appointment to say the least

Absolute shocker of a call from the officials there. You can’t give back to 1 then change your mind mid play. The first try came off the back of a very dodgy call too. Canberra unlucky there. Awesome defence from Roosters though.

Thought the sin binning was harsh too. Canberra just lacking a bit of creativity at the end of each set and the Roosters defence was superb. Just a shame that refereeing decisions are again a big focus in the result of big games
