"The great fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. It is nothing of the kind. The game is about glory, it is about doing things in style and with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom." Danny Blanchflower.
Might have been written by a footballer about football - but never a truer word............
I had a look at his clips last night on Youtube and he looks great from 2 yards out. Doesn't look overly great to me but you never know.
Would sooner give a bigger and fitter Mose Masoe another go.
I will get it in first...... he will be a replacement for Luke Thompson
They used him really badly.
No guile to our play - never used him as a dummy runner, never used dummy runners when he was going to take the carry, never used him wider in a quick passing move (I got a vision of a confused Cunningham saying "What's a 'passing move'?"
They might as well have kept putting a big sign up saying "Mose's gonna take the ball up this time, so get your big guys lined up to be waiting for him"
You could have thrown a net over our entire team under Cunningham until the last 2 plays of each set. The opposition would just pack the middle of the field as we had no wide options. Nobody makes decent ground when 3/4 players are flying into every tackle at you. Masoe in this team would be a very useful player. If you rotated him with Walmsley there would be a lot less drop off in the go forwards when Walmsley and Thompson are both off.
Forwards win games. The backs decide by how much.
Powerful runner when at Warriors, moved to the Storm( and they generally know about quality) He was not getting into NRL squad but doing well lower grade but done his shoulder in quite badly .
Dodgy shoulder? Avoid, avoid, avoid.
