Ideally we should be going with the 17 that Holbrook intends to play in the semi final. Assuming Percival is OK I therefore expect Costello and Bentley to miss out and us to be as follows:

    Coote
    Makinson
    Naiqama
    Percival
    Grace
    Lomax
    Fages
    Walmsley
    Roby
    Thompson
    Peyroux
    Taia
    Knowles

    Paulo
    LMS
    Amor
    Ashworth

My joy was short lived. I was hoping JH has seen the light with Paulo. Alas not. I am perplexed how he thinks he is a better choice than Bentley.

Happy that he's going for another full strength team. Hull have to win to stand any chance of getting into the play offs so hopeful they come at us. A walk over's no good. We need a good test.

    He may still pick Bentley

Hopefully it’ll be all over for Hull by the time we play them as Cas will have beat Wigan.

If there is any issue with Percival he should not be risked, Costello has done well anytime he has played and is a capable back up to either centre currently. I do think we need a tough game to give us a bit of a jolt for the play offs, we need a tough game this weekend to hopefully get a performance out of us.

Oh yes, I forgot they play on Thursday. I'm just worried that we get next week off, play and then possibly get another week off before the GF.

I know, but I don’t see them both playing and unless Percy is not 100% JH will go Paulo. But I hope I’m wrong.

Paulo For Richardson , I bet young Danny & his dad were not best pleased when they saw that . Think he could soon be on his bike .

Although it's in our dna to want Wigan to lose it mightn't be the best result for us this time , I just think we need a really tough game to set us up for the playoffs and away at Hull when they need the win would fit the bill nicely

Ideally I'd like him to stay but I think you're right. To be fair he's not done that much this season when he's played.

With Percy being named, does that mean he passed the HIA last week?

Don't understand that at all. Paulo does not merit a kit. Richardson should be in the 19. Well he'd be in the 17 on the bench for me as Ashworth isn't doing anything of note at the minute

To be honest I’m finding it hard to remember an individual performance from someone in his position, as poor as Richardson’s was against Castleford. I don’t think you can put in a showing like that and then expect to play again for a while. I try not to be too hard on players but I’d have had him off at half time.

If Holbrook is as good a coach as people say, we’ll have to trust him to get it right.

I’m not sure on the bench at all really. Lees is a big loss. Paulo, LMS, Amor, Ashworth, Bentley, Smith etc, they’re all a bit up and down.

He did miss loads of tackles against Cas.

I believe it was 10 in total. In a close semi final or final that would probably be catastrophic for the team

We don’t need to imagine, we saw it last year against wire for Lineham’s winner.

That’s what I always think back to as well to be honest. I know anyone can miss a tackle but (and I take no pleasure in saying it) it’s a disaster in waiting in a knockout game

Ralph : Altho' I am not a big fan of DR he should deffo be in the squad before Paulo . Holbrook refuses to believe he made a huge mistake signing Paulo . Who he keeps selecting praying he eventually comes good . I cringe to think we have signed him on a 3 year deal

I understand. You're right. He was abysmal.

I just think he's capable of doing something or making a break. Just something. Paulo for me offers nothing. But he probably won't let you down in defence as much as Richardson seems likely to
