    Default Toronto

If Toronto manage to achieve Super League status next season do we think that it will become the new Catalan as the go to destination for the red vee masses. I have noticed it does not seem overly expensive as far as flights are concerned and possibly 4/5 days would be enough to take in the match and the city. On the downside it will be another match with minimal at best away support or will the Canadians fancy a trip to take in a game and see the high-spots of the North West and I do not mean Westfield Street.

Couldn’t recommend Toronto enough, I got flights for £335 return earlier this year with a connection at Dublin through Aer Lingus. The city is fantastic and then obviously can head to Niagra Falls an hour away etc.

Got relatives who used to live in Toronto, they now live 250 miles or so North of the city. Still if they came up and the away fixture got the correct date i'd probably go and tie it in with a visit to the relatives. Got plenty of air miles in the bank.

Flights were competitive but I think Air Transit was purchased by Star Alliance. You don't get discounts from them.

You might not but then again your kind are more suited to Ryanair and giving the pilot round of applause for flying in a straight line.

My worry is that we all make plans, then they announce the game is going to be played 'on the road' at Widnes!

Wishful thinking but just had a look for the weekend before my birthday in May, £420 with KLM which is pretty decent. A tip for anyone doing it that way, register for a flying blue card with KLM and you can upgrade for £70 each way.

A trip up the skytower vis well worth it and also the Toronto stadium which was the first to have a fully closing roof.
I would just be wary of any visa requirements regards criminal records etc.
Wire wont be taking many then.

I'd love Toronto to be a roaring success, but somehow it just feels temporary. Their crowds are remarkable despite how weird their stadium looks on TV with the constant stream of people who just seem to be doing circles of the stadium. I'll definitely try to get over if they do make it into Super League.

I'm all for expansion but there are to many day outs or weekend trips in the SL calender for me. Catalans, Magic weekend and probably Toronto aswell, it's no wonder we can't sell out the CC or GF, why would you want to go down to Wembley and watch a team that isn't yours when you can go to the South of France or Canada?

You are spot on, absolutely spot on. All it does is sanitize the finals and semi finals

If Toronto do come up and Superleague keep the same fixture formula as this season Saints will play them twice away next season.

    LOOP FIXTURES
    Home games, 1 v 2, 1 v 6 and 1 v 10.
    Away games 4 v 1, 8 v 1 and 12 v 1.

Thought one of Toronto's main sponsors did good deals and packages through the club, it has been surprising how many Championship clubs have seen fans travel, and the club really look after them.

Hopefully you get to go before you go to the wall. Think it's a close one

Toronto, Nashville, Memphis and New Orleans for us. Not necessarily in that order. I'll sort that out once the fixtures come out, if Toronto are in Superleague next year.

The only problem is the amount of yanks, they’re really hard work. Canadians are much nicer to be around.
