Yes you have to be concerned having two or three pack men lacking match fitness. Have a feeling that Amor, Smith, LMS and Lees will be the bench.

If everyone's fit I'd go bench LMS, Lees, Amor and Paulo

I like the way Paulo links our attack, Tez summed it up well. I'd like to see more from him from a running sense to mix things up a bit but he helps give the lads out wide time and space to work their magic.

Amor has improved loads and deserves his spot.

    LMS picks himself really

Lees had a great season so far with some of his best performances against Warrington.

What are people's thoughts on having Welsby on the bench to cover 1-7? Just thinking an injury to any of the backs early on could kill us, especially with Coote not playing a game since his injury.

Some of our forwards like Thompson and Lees have got big engines, surely a bench of 2 props, 1 SR and 1 back would be fine?

I can't see it in a final although I agree with you. We'll most likely use LMS or Bentley as cover for the backs and re-shuffle if the worst happens.

Couldn’t agree more, in fact part of me thinks there’s a lot of mind games being played by Holbrook. I’m no body language expert but I don’t feel Holbrook looks to convincing when saying all the injured players will be back next week. I don’t know of many teams who would play 4 players who hadn’t played for around a month in arguably the biggest game of the season. My guess is we’ll only have at most 2 of coote, roby, walmsley and knowles in the 17

I think Roby & Walmsley are nailed on starters, I am concerned with MK missing the Leeds game so I think he won't be risked after a rib injury & tbh part of me doesn't want to see a not fully fit full back on a big Wembley pitch on a hot day.

I agree on the lack of fitness issue re Coote etc but I suppose only the conditioning staff know the ins and outs. For all we know they could have had a game against the reserves to give them a run out

I would play our strongest side & anyone injured gets an injection. Lots and lots of injections. So much so that we run out of painkillers. Even inject the ones who don't need one just to be sure.

    What are everyone's thoughts?

I don’t think playing Morgan Knowles will be any kind of risk at all. He’s the kind of player who’ll just get out there and smash it regardless of the circumstances.

I reckon Coote will be fairly rusty in the first quarter and it might need Grace and Makinson to take some load off him. If we get it right then Coote could play in his "dinner suit" if he is adequately protected.

I really hope we do play him. With Clarke and Austin running the ball we definitely need Knowles.

Think if he is fit, Holbrook will give Paulo a bench spot. Agree or disagree with it, Holbrook signed him for his experience and leadership. It’d be unlikely he won’t be picked unless he is injured.

Morgan Knowles was on the panel at the fans forum before the Leeds game, and he said that he would be playing at Headingley. It was just a case of having an injection and being padded up. He didn't play because he was unwell.

God Ralph you said Wembley means more to you than the GF, but you really mean it. Those previous family days out in London hold dear memories even today. Good on ya.

Massive shame for him missing out on a game like this.

Aaron smith banned for 2 games. Don't think he would be involved though.

Twitter is saying Lees out, but where has JH said it officially?

With Smith suspended and Lees out (if) and all others fit. Bench has to be (Ashworth Amor Bentley Paulo).

Aaron Bower has tweeted it and it’s on the Star website too with quotes from Holbrook.

I imagine only one of Bentley/Ashworth will play; I think you’ve forgotten LMS.
