Can't really disagree with any of that.

Wouldn't disagree with any of them. I particularly don't like the loop fixtures, though they may be a financial necessity

Use public transport and you find yourself clock watching which spoils the night, you see many leaving before the trophy is even presented. I would suggest scrapping the Grand Final.

Dual reg is a massive one for me. If we want a second team in the championship, put our reserves in the league.

The loop fixtures are obviously a nightmare. However, I think that continue to be an issue until we sign a new TV deal.

The loop fixtures on top of the magic weekend means we've got around 25% of the season with an unbalanced number of games on the home/away basis. I've been saying for years make the magic weekend a Super 9's comp with both Superleague and Championships teams to attract a broader fan base for that event.

We really need more Sky Money to go to a 14 team superleague and just have 26 games on an home and away basis. Financially a home club is only missing 1 fixture of gate money, offset slightly with a cheaper Super 9's team on the magic weekend.

1.Scrap the prefix super, just call it rugby league.
    2. Take the Challenge cup final back to May.
    3. If wingers knock the corner flag over its in touch.
    4. Each club play every other home and away.
    5. Scrap magic weekend.
    6. Stop chopping and changing the rules.

Point 6 contradicts the first 5

I'd thought of that but only apply 6 after the others. Only point 3 is a rule as such anyway.

Not sure I agree as a different fixture list is the only thing that helps to justify the existing 'play off' format.
An uneven schedule is the basis for the NFL, NBA and NHL play offs in the US; it should be here too. It seems daft that SL should become based around all teams having the same opponents with effectively a set of cup games at the end of it to decide who the champions are. It totally devalues the sport in my opinion.

The playoffs devalue the league anyway so it doesn't really matter.

I agree and I'm yet to hear a credible argument that doesn't lend itself to the play off's only being created to mitigate the poor commercial profile and bad overall management of the game. However if they must exist they should at least have some scintilla of credibility and that's why I suggested what I put above.

Unfortunately the great finishes to the old FPP system such as that final 8-8 match at Central Park, the Bradford/Warrington/Wigan finish, mission impossible etc have been lost against the general bullshit mantras such as 'every game must count' (FFS as if they ever didn't).

    Number 1x 100

Disagree with number 3. You can run down the wing with the ball carrying arm over the touchline, why should that change in the corner?

    I agree with 2,4,6

    2 Especially.

In the early years of SL, I'm sure it stayed with a May final, but it was viewed as beeing too early in the season. But back then, the SL season used to only start in late Feb/early march. Now we're only a step from it kicking off on Boxing Day. So much for summer rugby!! Play the CC rounds in March & April alternating with SL games (2 SL, 1 CC) and play the final on May Day weekend.

The sport has its roots well and truly in the working classes and grew out of progressing workers' rights (ie, the need to be compensated for lost pay when playing). What better time to have it than International Workers' Day?
    I f*cking hate wi*an.

One I think SL should adopt. 1 point each if a draw at FT and an extra point for Golden Point. I don't think a team should come away with nothing if all square after 80.

Not for me. I dont like golden point and would prefer a draw to be 1 point each. But if we must have GP then I think everything needs to be at stake, otherwise the object (of generating tension and excitement) is defeated.

Like yourself, for me there is nothing wrong with a draw, but I prefer to see both teams getting something if it is an 80 min draw. Maybe not as tense for the golden point but at least you are playing for something, I wouldn't be happy if we went to Golden point and came away with nothing.

I've never really understood the need for GP (unless a 'result' is needed to progress to a further round).
Surely the tension and excitement is already there if teams are level as FT approaches? But I guess that's a debate that we've already had!

Its an American thing, all their sports have them. I agree though is there really any need for it, if they do want to continue with it I agree with Dux and Belgian, both teams get a point after 80 as neither has lost and the winner in GP gets an extra point, although that could be open to abuse, id rather them scrap it completely outside of Knockout games.

I don't think Iv read a single comment apart from Sky muppets, to say anyone is in favour of GP

Getting rid of that rule has resulted in some amazing trys, why would we bring it back ?

I agree, i think its a great rule, it has really allowed some great acrobatic tries in the corner. There are more pressing concerns in the game than that rule, getting rid of the golden point farce in league games for one, a draws a draw. At the end of the day rule changes need to improve the product for players and fans, changing the corner flag rule back diminishes that.

I once missed a 9 PM ish train to Stafford after a Grand Final. It was the last of the night. I had to get a ticket to Telford via Shrewsbury and then a very expensive taxi for Telford to Stafford to pick up my car. A KO time of 4 PM or earlier would be useful.

Id prefer the League Winners to be champions but I dont think Sky would accept that.
