From Warrington’s website ‘ankle sprain’ and they’ll know more in the next couple of weeks.

Charley also in the next couple of weeks.

They’re playing their cards close to their chests.
It looked more than an ankle sprain to me but who knows they might give him an injection.
Which translates to, both players being fit and raring to go in the final.

Are we actually bothered what team Warrington turn out. They’re there to be beaten. I’m more concerned what our team will be. I’m just hoping that Coote’s injury is not worse than Saints are making out.

Serious question : has Austin done anything so far that makes anyone concerned if he plays?

I don't recall him being very influencial against the better sides of super league.
He has shown some nice breaks against poorer sides who are already well beaten. But I don't remember him being a key player in a tight game.

He's gone missing against us but he has also been a very good player for Wire this year. I'm more concerned about how we play without Coote in the squad than Austin playing for Wire.

If you look at the video from the captains run yesterday, Coote is on it. You can see him right at the end taking a drop out. Coral also did a video promoting the Final and he’s on that in training gear being interviewed. He’s clearly back in full training.

Yep. Expect him to play next week so he can get his eye in before the final.

His kicking game was influential in Wire’s semi-final victory over Hull.

He’s not been quite as sharp of late but there’s no doubt they’re a stronger team when he plays - he gives them a running threat and range of kicking that they just don’t have if he doesn’t play.

Is that definitely Coote taking the drop out? I thought it was Percy.

It was but if he is not fully recovered from the ankle injury then can’t see him being high percentage in his kicking game for the final. I don’t think his running game is anywhere near the first half of the season and Saints seem to know how to shut that down to make him less effective.
Fortunately Matty can,t play to introduce an alternative kicking game so I reckon there will be lots of pressure on Austin and Patton on those end of set plays.

Are you talking about Coote or Walmsley?

He was still wearing a leg brace yesterday. Might be a precaution but strange he would be kicking then back into a brace.

Most of the games I have seen apart from against us, he has been very good. But none of those teams have a Morgan Knowles backed up by the other lads to stifle him.

That’s not Coote in the video. Plus as said before Coote was in a leg brace yesterday as he was in the stand at Wakey.
